Chapter 28: Quite Gentle
Bai Shuchuan fell asleep in a daze. Time passed little by little. When the alarm rang, he groggily picked up his phone and looked at the time.
3:50…
His eyes felt sore and heavy. He looked at Su Moyu, who was still sleeping beside him, then reached out and gently shook her arm.
“Wake up, Su Moyu.”
She didn’t react at all. Bai Shuchuan lifted the blanket, got out of bed, and turned on the light.
He saw her face scrunch up, her brows tightly furrowed.
“Wake up!” He reached out and pinched her cheek. The soft, smooth feeling under his fingers made his heart move a little.
“Mm…” Su Moyu let out a soft sound, her voice lazy and slightly hoarse.
Bai Shuchuan thought maybe they should just forget it. If she really couldn’t wake up, then they didn’t have to go.
Thinking that, he looked at her again and walked back to turn off the light.
Waking up this early was really annoying anyway.
But then he suddenly thought, if she woke up later and saw that the time had passed, she would feel sad for missing the sunrise.
Just then, her soft voice came from the darkness.
“Why did you turn off the light… I just want to lie down a bit more~” Her soft, sleepy voice made him feel a bit flustered.
“Okay, I’m getting up,” she said, and there was some movement.
Bai Shuchuan turned the light back on. Su Moyu’s face scrunched up again from the bright light. Looking at her small face, a faint smile appeared on his calm expression.
“Hurry and get ready. Let’s go,” he said.
But as soon as she sat up, she fell back onto the bed again.
Bai Shuchuan let out a quiet sigh and directly pulled her up from the bed.

He looked at the sky. It was a hazy blue, like it was covered with a thin layer of mist. The hotel lobby lights were bright, but everything was completely quiet.
Su Moyu stood there, still half-asleep. A cold wind blew, making her shiver.
“Why is it so cold…”
“I told you to wear more.”
Su Moyu breathed warm air into her hands, feeling like they were about to freeze.
“I already put on one more layer,” she argued.
In reality, she had only changed her tights into thicker ones.
“Let’s go, let’s go, time to watch the sunrise!” After waking up a bit more, her voice returned to its usual lively tone.
Bai Shuchuan was about to ask if she wanted to go back and get more clothes, but she had already started walking ahead.
Su Moyu took out her phone, checked the guide, and followed the directions onto the mountain trail. Only then did she notice a few scattered people already there.
Even though it was a popular tourist spot, not many people came this early to watch the sunrise. She had even worried before that it would be crowded and block the path.
Bai Shuchuan walked beside her as they climbed step by step. Soon they entered a forest area, and under the cover of trees, the temperature felt even lower.
Su Moyu slowed down. The cold kept creeping into her body. She breathed warm air into her hands again, then helplessly turned back to look at Bai Shuchuan.
“It’s really so cold…”
Bai Shuchuan couldn’t handle that kind of look. He took off his jacket and put it over Su Moyu’s shoulders.
Su Moyu was a bit surprised, but when she felt the warmth, she wrapped the jacket tightly around herself.
“I didn’t expect you to be quite a gentleman,” she said with a teasing smile.
“If you’re not cold anymore, then hurry up. I’m freezing,” Bai Shuchuan urged helplessly.
Su Moyu saw him speed up his steps, and a nice smile appeared on her face.
She realized this guy was actually a bit tsundere.
Thinking that, she quickly followed after him.
After becoming a girl, her stamina had clearly gone down. Not to mention the extra weight on her chest. It made her back and legs sore, and her shoulders hurt from the pressure.
His jacket was very big on her. She couldn’t even stretch her hands out, but it kept her warm inside the sleeves. Her hands almost felt numb.
Could she find a chance to get rid of the things on her chest?
Su Moyu let her imagination run wild. Although it was true that she liked girls with big chests.
Her steps slowly became slower, and the distance between her and Bai Shuchuan grew. He started standing on the steps above, waiting for her.
“Why are you so slow?”
After finally reaching him, she heard him ask that.
Her expression immediately became unhappy.
“Hey, I’m a girl now. Can you be a bit more understanding?” she complained. “I just praised you for being a gentleman.”
“But you don’t have to get out of breath after just a few steps…” Bai Shuchuan said awkwardly. “At this rate, we might miss the sunrise.”
Su Moyu also felt troubled.
She looked ahead at the mountain path and saw that the top was still very, very far away.
The sunrise would be around a little after six.
“Then how about you carry me up?” she said casually when she saw how relaxed he looked.
Bai Shuchuan touched his chin, recalling her weight from when he had carried her before.
“You can treat it as weight training,” Su Moyu added when she saw him hesitate. “See how nice I am to you.”
Bai Shuchuan wanted to laugh, but he still walked down a few steps and crouched in front of her.
“Get on.”
Now Su Moyu was really a bit surprised.
Still, she climbed onto his back. Bai Shuchuan lifted her legs, and the soft feeling made his heart stir again. The warmth against his back also made him feel a bit uneasy.
“Things that use this much strength are really hard for girls,” Su Moyu said softly near his ear, making him get goosebumps.
“You wouldn’t understand if you didn’t become like this. It really feels like you have no strength at all.”
Bai Shuchuan thought about it for a moment. The soft feeling on his back made him a bit stiff. As he walked faster, the soft weight pressed more against him. Her hair brushed against his neck, and her gentle breathing was right by his ear, constantly disturbing his thoughts.
“So you should try to see things from other people’s point of view,” Su Moyu continued.
“Mm.”
“Sometimes when you do something wrong and someone gets angry or says harsh things to you, they are actually hoping you to be better and give them a reason to stay. It's when they stop talking and leave quietly that you know they’ve actually given up”
