“You really know quite a lot,” Bai Shuchuan said.
Since Su Moyu knew him well, she understood that he was praising her.
“When I was dating Zhou Ya before, I overthought things a lot. So I read some psychology books. I learned a little from that,” Su Moyu said calmly.
“Then I should learn too. It seems pretty useful.”
Su Moyu nodded in agreement.
“Of course. If you learn more and know how to say a few sweet words, you’ll easily get a girlfriend,” she said. As soon as she finished speaking, a cold wind blew past, making her shiver.
But Bai Shuchuan’s attention was drawn to her small figure beside him.
“Then that would probably be something far in the future. After all, to others, we are still legally married.”
Su Moyu blinked. “That’s true. It also means you have more time to prepare.”
“Yeah.”
Bai Shuchuan replied.
“Sometimes I really wonder when you’ll start dating, and what kind of girl she’ll be,” Su Moyu said, her voice trembling a bit from the cold. “By the way, what are you actually doing up here?”
“I just wanted to watch the sunrise and change my mood,” Bai Shuchuan said, showing a helpless smile again.
Su Moyu was a bit surprised.
“When did you become so romantic?” she said, turning slightly to look at his face.
“Just felt like it,” Bai Shuchuan replied. “Because I watched it with you yesterday, and it felt nice.”
Now Su Moyu really felt proud.
It was rare that something she liked was also appreciated by him.
When they were younger, she only dared to secretly watch magical girl shows and tell him about them, even though he didn’t really enjoy those things.
“See? My taste is pretty good, right?”
“Yeah, it really is.”
Su Moyu let out a soft breath and suddenly thought of something interesting.
“Hey, let me show you something,” she said, taking her phone out of her coat pocket. Bai Shuchuan leaned closer naturally as she opened a video.
The video showed a birthday cake with a few candles on it. The camera was a bit shaky, and the place was dim, but the candlelight made it possible to see the words on the cake, ‘Happy Birthday, Baby.’
A soft laugh could be heard in the video, and Su Moyu smiled along with it.
“Hurry up and sing me a birthday song, Bai Shuchuan.”
Her own voice came from the video, sounding a bit playful and spoiled. Hearing it now, she felt a bit embarrassed.
The camera shifted, and Bai Shuchuan’s face appeared on screen, lit by the warm candlelight.
A small hand in the video smeared cream onto his face, followed by a bright laugh.
“Hurry and sing me a birthday song!” Su Moyu in the video urged again. “A birthday is such an important day, how can it not have a song from my boyfriend?”
In the video, Bai Shuchuan looked like he was being forced to do it.
Of course, Su Moyu knew why he didn’t sing.
“Looks like even in this world, you still can’t sing well,” she teased.
“Yeah,” Bai Shuchuan replied helplessly.
A smile immediately appeared on Su Moyu’s face, because in the video, Bai Shuchuan actually started singing the birthday song completely out of tune.
“Happy birthday to you~ Happy birthday to you~”
Su Moyu couldn’t stop laughing. Bai Shuchuan, hearing his own voice, felt very embarrassed.
“Hey, stop it,” he said, reaching out to grab her phone. But Su Moyu had already expected this and stepped back. He quickly moved closer, but with his height advantage, all Su Moyu could do was curl up and hold the phone tightly to her chest, still playing his terrible singing.
“It’s not even you singing right now, why are you embarrassed?” Su Moyu said with a grin.
Bai Shuchuan tried to take the phone from behind her, but she squatted down and curled into a ball.
He knew he couldn’t win against her. And now that she was a girl, it wasn’t easy for him to just grab her like before.
Seeing that he stopped trying, Su Moyu looked even happier.
“Looks like you’re still the same in different worlds,” she said with a smile.
“I also think you’re no different from yourself in this world,” Bai Shuchuan replied.
Su Moyu frowned. “Really?”
By now, Bai Shuchuan had gotten used to hearing his own singing.
“Yeah. Like what you said just now about birthdays being important, that sounds exactly like something you would say.”
Su Moyu didn’t agree.
“That’s so cheesy. There’s no way I would say something like that.” Just as she finished speaking, the video reached the end.
“Was it good?” the Bai Shuchuan in the video asked.
That line made Su Moyu laugh again.
“Not good,” the Su Moyu in the video replied.
Su Moyu smiled. “Yeah, if it were me, I’d say the same.”
But then, in the video, Bai Shuchuan’s face suddenly moved closer, and they heard a kissing sound.
“But thank you, hubby~”
Su Moyu’s voice in the video sounded soft and sweet.
Both of them froze. The video ended, and silence filled the space between them…
Su Moyu’s face suddenly turned red. “What the heck! That’s so cheesy!”
Even though she wasn’t the one who said it now, it was still her voice. The feeling was both strange and embarrassing!
She swallowed and turned her head, only to see Bai Shuchuan pressing his lips together, also looking awkward.
As someone who used to be a guy, she knew how powerful a word like “hubby” could be.
When she used to date Zhou Ya, just hearing her say that once could make her happy for a long time.
Wait, wake up, she’s not saying that to you!
An unclear, strange feeling filled the air.
“Yeah… it is a bit…” Bai Shuchuan said softly after a while.
Seeing Su Moyu’s flushed face, he didn’t know what to say.
But that one word just now made his heart skip a beat. That soft and sweet voice kept echoing in his ears.
“So what does this mean?” Su Moyu said quickly. “It means in another world, you’re a warm and caring boyfriend, and I’m still the same cheerful person. So if you stay around me, won’t you become super popular in love?”
She explained proudly, even patting her own shoulder.
“Do you understand who the real genius is? I’m also someone you should cherish!”
She continued excitedly.
“So hurry up and send me fifty to improve our bond—”
Before she could finish, Bai Shuchuan spoke first.
“So what you mean is… date you?”
