Chapter 268: Flattering
“Mom! I don’t want to go to the hospital!”
“Mom~ Mom~”
Holding her sister’s wrist, their mother pulled her straight toward the hospital without even looking sideways.
An Han slowly followed behind, imagining the embarrassing scene of her sister having her pants taken off and being placed on the examination chair.
Even though she couldn’t actually see that scene. Her sister might not even need that kind of chair…
Then she remembered her own experience back then, and her face heated up on its own.
Even though she had become more used to living as a girl, and her mind was slowly matching her gender, she still couldn’t accept that kind of situation.
Too scary…
“An Han.”
“Mm?” She looked up at her mother.
“The time you got your check-up… was it Su Peng who took you?”
“Yeah… After he learned about my situation, he insisted I go for an exam.”
Then she remembered the physical exam report she got from the system. She had originally wanted to show it to Su Peng to completely remove his doubts about how she became a girl.
But because the side effects of her father’s item kept her awake all night, she got scared.
After all, Su Peng had already fallen for her. Who knew what he would do if he got too excited…
Her mother nodded. The more she learned about Su Peng, the less she rejected him.
“So you two really just held hands?”
Her sister immediately stopped struggling, turned her head, and looked at her with curious sparkles in her eyes.
Face red, An Han nodded hard. “Yes!”
Her mother gave her a meaningful look from the side, clearly not believing her at all.
She didn’t think they had slept together, but still reminded her carefully, “Be safe.”
She couldn’t stop An Han if she insisted on throwing herself at someone. And she didn’t know how sincere Su Peng really was… but at least don’t get pregnant.
“…Okay.”
An Han replied casually.
She absolutely would not do anything too intimate with Su Peng.
Kissing was already her limit for now.
Besides, when she was still a guy, even though she had no experience, she knew men needed to be careful when doing things with girls.
Now that she was a girl herself, she cared even more about safety. She never wanted to end up in the obstetrics and gynecology department.
Their home was in the busy downtown area, so the hospital wasn’t far. After about a ten-minute walk, they arrived at the entrance.
And instantly, they saw Su Peng buying breakfast at the hospital gate.
Her mother glanced at An Han but said nothing. She simply ignored Su Peng and walked straight toward the hospital.
Su Peng spotted them at the same time and rushed over with the breakfast in hand. “Auntie, what a coincidence!”
“What, you’re here to see gynecology too?”
This was a specialty hospital.
Su Peng glanced at the hospital sign and quickly shook his head.
“My hotel is nearby. I came down to buy breakfast and bumped into you by chance.”
With a fawning smile, completely ignoring the cold look on his future mother-in-law’s face, he shamelessly squeezed himself into their group.
“Auntie, if you need anything, please tell me!”
An Han had never seen Su Peng act like this before. Usually, he wore a gentle smile and behaved properly. But now he looked like a flattering servant from a palace drama.
She couldn’t help wanting to laugh, but then she realized Su Peng was doing all this so their relationship could be accepted. She quickly held back her smile and pushed away the bad thoughts in her mind.
If it weren’t for her, Su Peng would never act like this… poor guy.
Next, Su Peng really became her mother’s helper, running around before and behind her. He lined up for them, paid the fees, and even bought snacks to please the little sister. He worked harder for this than for his own business.
When they left the hospital about half an hour later, the results showed her sister was completely normal. The heavy bleeding was only because of her body’s natural condition.
As the four of them walked out of the hospital, her sister was already sticking to Su Peng again, left hand holding An Han, right hand holding Su Peng, swinging both hands like she was playing on a swing.
But at the same time, her sister looked a bit depressed. After all, she had her pants taken off during the medical examination…
“An Han, take your sister home first. I need to buy vegetables.”
Their mother, walking in front, turned around and said, “After you get home, make sure she does her homework. She must finish at least ten pages of winter break practice.”
“Mom! I bled so much and I still have to do homework?!”
“What do you think?”
Her sister turned away with an unhappy face.
“Auntie, I also happen to be going to the market,” Su Peng said, letting go of the sister’s hand. He shamelessly moved closer to their mother again. “The market is pretty far from here. I can drive you there.”
It wasn’t actually far, only about a ten-minute walk. Su Peng had already been there earlier, then rushed to the hospital after hearing the “insider info.”
“Mom, buy more groceries. You have someone to help you carry them,” An Han added from the side.
Her mother already knew what these two were trying to do. She didn’t dislike it, so she could only nod helplessly.
Looking at the two of them, she couldn’t help but sigh with nostalgia. “Your dad was the same back then…”
“Huh?!”
An Han’s interest shot up instantly. She rarely got a chance to hear her father’s dark history.
“Grandpa and Grandma didn’t like Dad at first?”
“Not talking about that. You two go home now.”
Ah! Leaving people hanging like this is a terrible habit! If this were a novel, readers would send knives!
The curiosity itching in her heart made her feel like something was stuck in her throat.
Fine, she would ask her father later. And she could use his experience as a reference to help Su Peng. Though knowing her father’s pride, he probably wouldn’t say anything.
If she really wanted to gossip, no one could hide secrets from her anyway. She had mind-reading skills.
Watching her mother get into Su Peng’s car and leave, she silently prayed that Su Peng’s performance would leave a good impression, not annoy her mother by being too clingy.
At least her mother didn’t try to return his gifts or reject him directly.
Holding her sister’s hand and walking toward home, she suddenly felt her sister resisting. She looked down and saw the little one gazing at her with pitiful eyes.
“Sister~ I lost so much blood today… And my stomach hurts… I don’t want to do homework.”
She didn’t know where her sister learned this from, she even pinched her voice on purpose. It gave An Han goosebumps.
“Let’s go eat something yummy to help me recover!”
“It’s fine. In the future you’ll still have to go to class, take exams, and even run while bleeding.”
An Han patted her head comfortingly. “Drink two bottles of cold cola and you’ll be fine. Good girl.”
Her sister’s face changed instantly, and she jumped away.
“Sister! Do you think I’m stupid?! Drinking cola will hurt me to death!”
“It won’t. Look at me, I drink one bottle a day and nothing happens.”
“…Let’s just go home and do homework.”
