Chapter 276: Remember the Good, Forget the Pain
After breakfast, ignoring her father’s always–dark face, An Han secretly slipped out with Su Peng to the street.
Every time her father met Su Peng, the atmosphere was full of tension, like gunpowder ready to explode. This made her worry whether the two of them would ever get along.
After all, some people are just born to clash. Just like her and Chen Junjie.
They had lived in the same dorm for almost three years and still argued every day. Even though Chen Junjie liked her more now, they still fought whenever they met.
“What should we do…”
An Han looked a bit troubled on her face, but her steps were still light. Her big eyes curved like a smiling crescent moon as she looked at Su Peng.
Why is it that in other families, once they have a good future son-in-law, the parents treat him warmly, afraid he might run away?
But she and Su Peng were only dating, and her parents disliked him more and more the longer they knew him.

These past two days she hadn’t had much time to go out with him, but at least she saw him every day, even if it was just watching his embarrassing interactions with her parents. It was still better than being separated by a hundred kilometers and only talking online.
“It’s okay. School starts in ten days. I’ll pick you up at the station then.”

Su Peng clearly saw how her eyes dimmed.
He gently reached out, rubbed her small head, and comforted her softly, “So today, let’s go out and have a really good time, okay?”

An Han gave him a side-eye. “Not pretty.”

“It’s too fancy.”

Even though she had become a girl and was softer in personality, her straight-man way of thinking was still deeply rooted inside.
Frowning unhappily, An Han still took the rose. Her tone sounded annoyed as she said, “Fine, just this time. But don’t buy this kind of useless stuff again. It’s useless and expensive.”
A single rose cost about ten yuan. Enough for her to buy snacks at a street stall.
“I just wanted to be a little romantic…”
An Han didn’t care for this kind of fake romance. She plucked at the rose petals and muttered, “Being simple and ordinary is the most romantic.”

Just as An Han turned around to leave, Su Peng suddenly grabbed her hand.

Ever since that time she flirted with him and officially became his girlfriend, the two of them rarely had chances to talk alone.

“Pretend you don’t know!”
“If your dad beats me up, will you help me or help him…”

She tried her best to keep a normal posture so that Su Peng and her secretly-following father wouldn’t worry too much.
