Half-asleep, An Han saw the system message appear in her dream. It immediately woke her up. She stared blankly at the ceiling, stretched, rolled over, and hugged her little sister like a pillow.
Unfortunately, her sister was too skinny. Hugging her felt like hugging bones, kind of uncomfortable.
The pain in her lower belly was gone. It looked like from now on, both she and her sister would no longer suffer during their periods.
“Already finished? So fast?”
It was only the fourth day, and An Han had already prepared herself for a long fight.

Standing up, she felt her legs still a bit weak.

In the bathroom, she looked at herself in the mirror. She looked a bit tired, with slight dark circles. She turned her head and looked at the makeup items her mother had bought for her.
Maybe she should put on a bit of light makeup to cover the flaws on her face? At least it would make her look more healthy and lively, instead of someone who had been tortured for days and stayed up late every night.
With that thought, she took out a bottle of makeup product and tried applying it to her face.

About ten minutes later, the mirror showed a “female ghost” with pale skin and uneven skin tone.

If he left now, he would reach his grandfather’s house around eleven, just in time for the birthday lunch.

Su Peng didn’t have much luggage. In a few minutes, he finished packing and left the room with his room card.
After checking out at the front desk, he pushed open the glass door and looked at the light mist covering the street outside.
It was going to be a good day.
The fog wasn’t thick enough to affect driving. But the cold morning air made goosebumps appear on his arms as soon as he stepped outside.
He zipped up his jacket, put his hands in his pockets, and hunched his shoulders as he walked toward the parking lot.
But after only a few steps, Su Peng suddenly lifted his head and looked toward the far end of the street.
Through the thin morning mist, a girl’s silhouette slowly appeared. Just from the shape of her body and the way she walked, he immediately knew who it was.
The girl’s figure became clearer and clearer, completely proving his guess. She was smiling brightly, like a little sun that drove away the winter cold.
“Su Peng! Are you going to my house?”
An Han jogged toward him, lifting her bare face, her eyes shining like stars.
“I brought breakfast for you! Aren’t you leaving today? Eat lunch at my house before you go!”
“After breakfast, let’s go to the internet café to play games!”
Su Peng blankly took the breakfast. He couldn’t help reaching out to rub her small head. “It doesn’t hurt anymore?”

He paused. “I just sent you a message. I’m leaving now.”

Her bright smile dimmed a little. She lowered her head and grumbled unhappily, “You finally came here, but I didn’t even take you out to play.”
At first, Su Peng was busy trying to win over An Han’s parents. Later, because her stomach hurt, she could only stay at home. After a few days, the time they spent together didn’t even add up to a few hours.

An Han never had the habit of taking photos. In all the time she had known Su Peng, they only had one group photo from military training.
“I guess that’s okay.” She didn’t like showing her personal photos to others, so she added, “Don’t post it on social media.”

“Then that’s fine.”
Su Peng took out his phone and switched to the selfie mode. An Han quickly moved closer, leaning against his shoulder, looking at the screen.

She didn’t know much about taking selfies, but she had seen a lot of selfies posted by the two girls on her feed. She noticed they always took photos from that angle.
When Su Peng adjusted the angle and took a picture of them standing side by side, she frowned.
Su Peng, however, was very satisfied. He saved the photo right away. When his parents asked where he had been the past two days, he planned to use this “daughter-in-law photo” as an excuse.

Su Peng laughed and lifted his phone again. But suddenly, An Han wrapped both arms around his, pressing her body tightly against him and resting her head on his shoulder.
Her sweet girl scent filled his nose. Even through the thick winter clothes, he could faintly feel her soft, delicate shape against his arm.
He froze on the spot, feeling embarrassed, not sure what to do with his hands or feet. All he could do was press the camera button stiffly.
An Han’s face turned red as she stared at the phone screen, at the intimate couple reflected inside.
This was what a couple’s photo should look like!
