Chapter 282: Back to School
Actually, Shi Yi wasn’t a bad person…
Back in high school, he was quite honest. He often brought breakfast for An Han, helped her run errands, and treated her to snacks.
If nothing unexpected had happened, even after becoming a girl, An Han would still be happy to stay friends with Shi Yi.
But this guy likes older-sister-type women!
And he secretly worked out behind her back!

In the next few days, just as she expected, her daily life was only playing computer games, and sometimes going shopping with Lin Yue. Shi Yi also didn’t come to bother her again, which made her feel relieved, though it was a pity to lose one more friend.
Before the holiday started, she was looking forward to staying home every day. But after living that way for a while, she suddenly couldn’t wait to return to school. Besides, that room filled with pink wallpaper was really hurting her eyes.
Luckily, time passed, and it was finally the day before school started.
Her parents decided to go to the school one day early. They planned to rent a new apartment for her, instead of the small hotel-like room she used before.
“An Han! Are your things packed?”
“They’re ready!”
Not long after, An Han came downstairs pulling a huge suitcase. Inside were clothes she had carefully chosen over several days. She had so many clothes that her closet couldn’t even hold all of them, and she had been struggling to choose outfits for days.
Her little sister followed behind her happily. She held her backpack in her arms, which was filled with random small items like chargers and hand warmers.
Her parents were already waiting downstairs.
Her father was wearing his usual gentleman-style British outfit. A short black coat with a white padded jacket inside, and a black hat that matched her mother’s.
After the New Year, the weather in their town had become much warmer. Her mother didn’t waste any time taking off her heavy coat and had already changed into her favorite long dress. Wearing a hat and sunglasses, she looked elegant and almost like a thirty-year-old woman.
Even though her parents usually dressed casually at home, right now they truly looked like a perfect couple. No matter how you looked at them, they seemed like a pair of fairy-tale lovers.
“Mom, aren’t you cold?”
Carrying her suitcase, An Han walked over to them.
“I have warm clothes on underneath,” her mother said with a smile as she took the suitcase and looked her up and down. “You dressed so pretty, who are you going to meet?”
Seeing her father’s face suddenly darken, An Han quickly explained, “It’s almost the first day of school! I need some sense of ceremony!”
She was wearing a short skirt and black fleece-lined tights, kind of like a schoolgirl style outfit. Actually, she wasn’t wearing very warm clothes.
The whole family cheerfully headed out. Only the little sister looked unhappy, because even though they were going out, their mother still made her bring the English workbook Su Peng gave her.
After almost ten days, she had only finished half of it, and she was suffering every day because of it.
It took one hour to drive from their small town to the high-speed train station. Since changing cars and taking buses would be troublesome, her father rented a car for two days to drive there himself.
When they stepped outside, An Han noticed that the rented car was actually the same brand as Su Peng’s. Her father had only driven Su Peng’s car once, yet he still remembered it so clearly.
“Put your things in the trunk. We’re leaving soon.”
“You two sit in the back and fasten your seat belts. We’ll arrive in about two hours.”
Feeling happy, An Han sat in the car, crossed her legs, and looked at the scenery passing by the window.
The start of school was almost here, and somehow she felt a little nervous about going back to campus life.
Last year, no matter how pretty she looked, her classmates still thought she was a boy on the surface. But this semester, her classmates would probably all find out she was a girl now.
People would definitely talk about how she changed from male to female. There would surely be all kinds of strange rumors. Especially from her old dormmates…
Long Xing already knew, so he was fine. But who knew what the others would think?
Especially Chen Junjie! Who knows what nonsense he will say about me!
With these worries in her heart, time passed very quickly. In just a little over two hours, her father’s car stopped at the school gate.
Some students had already arrived early. The university, which had been quiet for a month, was slowly becoming lively again.
“This crappy school isn’t as good as the one I went to back then.” Her father muttered while looking at the school gate through the car window.
Her mother’s face darkened. “All you ever do is talk about your past. I’ve never seen you make that much money either.”
Her father awkwardly stopped talking and drove to the hotel they had already booked near the school.
Her parents planned to first rent a place for An Han, handle her student record update, then let her start school. Meanwhile, they would treat the trip as a small vacation until the little sister’s school started.
“Mom, when you two go play, maybe you can stay at Su Peng’s house?”
Her mother’s eyes lit up, but her father immediately shook his head.
“Why bother other people?”
He looked like he was in a bad mood. In just a few days, he wouldn’t be able to stop Su Peng from seeing An Han anymore. Who knows what that boy would do once no one was around to control him?
They booked two rooms. As soon as An Han and her sister entered their room and put their luggage down, her parents were already knocking on the door again.
Her sister no longer looked annoyed like she did earlier. She had completely forgotten about her workbook and happily ran to open the door.
“An Han, we’re going to look for a place to rent for you now.” Her mother peeked into the room and saw An Han lying on the bed like a salted fish. “Do you want to come with us?”
“You two choose. When you find something, call me. I’m so tired~”
Her sister immediately ran out to join the fun. “Just let sister live in the park! Why rent a place!”
“You’re talking nonsense again.” Her mother laughed and lightly tapped the girl’s head. “We’re going now, okay?”
“Go ahead~”
After the door closed and the footsteps faded away down the hallway, An Han lay still for about two minutes…
Then suddenly jumped up from the bed.
Who knew if her dormmates had returned yet?!
She grabbed her dorm key and hurried out of the hotel. Running to the back gate of the school, she looked at the tightly closed gate and froze.
The hotel was right across from the back gate, but she didn’t expect it to be locked since school hadn’t officially started yet. She didn’t want to walk all the way to the main gate…
So climbing over the fence sounded better.
She looked up at the tall metal fence. She couldn’t climb it back when she was male, and as a girl now, she definitely didn’t have the strength.
“An Han!”
A familiar voice called from behind her. She froze and turned around, seeing Long Xing dragging a suitcase and waving at her from far away.
