Chapter 296: New Semester
Because he didn’t sleep well last night, Su Peng woke up at around five in the morning.
He went downstairs to buy breakfast and put it on the table. Then he sat with one leg crossed over the other, doing nothing, reading a novel on his phone while waiting for An Han to wake up.
Today was the first day of the new semester. There was an 8 a.m. class, so An Han would probably wake up around seven, get ready, and leave forty minutes early.
But she always dragged things out and delayed everything. Back when she still lived in the dorm, if Su Peng didn’t specifically ride his bike to wait for her, she would have been late so many times he couldn’t count.
Maybe he could bring the bike from school here for her to use.
But if she had a bike again, she would probably choose to sleep ten more minutes and still arrive at class right on time every day.
After sleeping badly on the sofa, Su Peng’s whole body felt sore, as if it was falling apart. He walked to the window and looked at the gradually brightening sky while stretching.
A ray of golden sunlight passed through the window, shining on the tiled floor of the living room, making the room brighter.
A sound came from the bedroom door.
Su Peng quickly turned his head and saw sleepy-eyed An Han walk out. Her thick, warm pajamas had a few buttons undone, and one side had slipped down, revealing her soft, fair shoulder. Her collarbone was delicate and smooth, and even lower he could see a little bit of her full chest.
Obviously, she must have felt hot while sleeping and subconsciously loosened her pajamas.
She yawned again and again. One hand reached inside her clothes, scratching her stomach, lifting the bottom of her pajamas and showing her flat, smooth tummy right in Su Peng’s line of sight.
Her completely defenseless appearance made Su Peng feel awkward. He politely looked away, though he couldn’t help glancing at her again.
Half-covered, half-showing, plus that sleepy expression. It was extremely tempting for a man. Su Peng quickly turned his back to her, afraid she would notice his reaction.
Normally the most they did was kiss, and the most daring thing he had done was touch her lower back. This was the first time he saw something this seductive.
“Su Peng…” An Han’s voice was soft and a little nasal. She sniffed and frowned. “What time is it?”
“Six fifty. If you wash up and eat breakfast, it’s almost time to head to class.”
“Really…”
She mumbled something quietly, scratched her messy hair, and slowly walked into the bathroom.
Her rental apartment had two bedrooms and a living room, but only one bathroom, located in the corner of the living room. That meant at night, whenever she needed to use the toilet, she had to walk more than ten meters in the dark.
Half-asleep, she stood at the sink brushing her teeth. When she lifted her head and looked in the mirror, her eyes suddenly widened.
Her face felt hot. Still holding her toothbrush in her mouth, she quickly pulled her pajama top back over her shoulder and buttoned it up again.
“Why didn’t Su Peng remind me!”
She splashed cold water on her burning cheeks. After washing her face, brushing her teeth, skincare, and fixing her hair, twenty minutes had passed, but the blush on her face still didn’t disappear.
When she came out, Su Peng had already heated the breakfast.
An Han subconsciously glanced at Su Peng’s pants…and saw a slight bulge.
Pervert!
“Why did washing up take so long? Come eat. After this, change your clothes and get ready to leave.”
“Okay.”
Su Peng was already wearing a sweater. He had gone back from the strong and muscular look to his usual gentle and polite appearance. Smiling warmly, he opened the plastic bag around the breakfast. “I already heated everything for you.”
“You can do this kind of thing too?”
“I can at least use a microwave.”
Although Su Peng had almost no housework skills, he still knew the very basics.
But when An Han picked up the reheated meat bun and took a bite, she immediately realized that because of the short heating time, the inside was still cold.
“The inside is still cold…”
She should never expect too much from Su Peng in things like this.
“Should I heat it again?” Su Peng looked at the time. “But we might not make it to class.”
An Han rolled her eyes at him but didn’t complain further. In just two or three minutes, she finished the whole breakfast. Her cheeks were puffed out while she chewed, and she ran toward the bedroom at the same time.
Soon, she changed into her everyday clothes, and the two of them left the rental apartment together.
Since she would meet most of her classmates today, her outfit was much more simple than yesterday’s dress. On top, she wore a thick winter jacket. On the bottom, loose jeans. The style was quite neutral, something anyone could wear.
But simple clothes couldn’t hide her pretty face, and her B+ chest was also hard to hide. Because of that, she had been frowning ever since they left the house.
Su Peng walked beside her and noticed her worry. “What’s wrong? Afraid of what your classmates will say?”
“It’s… okay, I guess…”
Last semester, An Han had already become a girl, but back then her chest wasn’t big yet, and her hairstyle was still the same as a boy’s. Even though she was too pretty, people still thought she was a boy.
But now… her hair covered her ears and had fully become a short women’s style. Her chest could no longer be hidden, and even her face seemed to have subtly become more beautiful.
And more people knew she was a girl now.
“I don’t know what they’ll think of me…” An Han muttered with a bit of worry. “Should I just keep pretending to be a cross-dressing guy?”
“When it gets warm, everyone will be able to tell anyway.”
“That’s true…”
“No matter what they think, I’ll stay by your side.”
An Han paused, then turned to look at Su Peng’s tall, straight figure like a pine tree. Finally, she showed a small smile.
“Mm!”
Between the apartment and the school, there was a small fresh market. Even though it was still early, the place was already packed with noise.
An Han tiptoed and wrinkled her nose as she carefully avoided the dirty water on the ground. After walking past the market, the street became much quieter. Only a few off-campus students like her were rushing toward the school gate.
“We need to hurry,” Su Peng checked the time. “If we walk any slower, we’ll be late.”
“Really?!”
Startled, An Han quickly left Su Peng behind and ran toward the school.
Because she hadn’t exercised in a long time, her stamina had dropped a lot. By the time she reached the school gate, she was already out of breath, and the teaching building was still about ten minutes away.
Su Peng, on the other hand, looked completely fine. In long-distance running, he was only slightly worse than those student athletes.
“Hurry! It’s the first class of the semester!”
New semester, new course, new teacher, she didn’t want to leave a strong (and bad) first impression on the teacher.
“I can’t! I can’t run anymore…”
After only a few more steps, An Han held her stomach and slowed down even more.
It wasn’t that her stamina was failing. It was because she ate breakfast and then immediately ran a kilometer. Her stomach hurt like crazy.
She grabbed Su Peng. “If I’m late, you’re late with me!”
If she was going down, she needed someone to go down with her!
“We’re almost there.” Su Peng turned to look at her. “Should I carry you?”
“No!!”
That would be way too embarrassing!
