Chapter 298: A Misunderstanding
Wu Dongming didn’t sleep well last night.
His mind was full of the moment he met An Han on the day of the report, that pretty but sad face that made his heart ache.
It made him care a lot. He wanted to apologize to An Han that night, but then he suddenly realized that An Han no longer stayed in the dorm.
His thoughts were messy. His familiar best friend was slowly turning into a girl right in front of his eyes. All the familiar things were fading away. Every time he saw An Han, he would feel a strong sense of distance and discomfort…

An Han didn’t understand why Wu Dongming became the main suspect for Long Xing and Chen Junjie. But after thinking again, height around 1.7 meters, thin build, and a face that might not look feminine at all, but could potentially be made to look like a woman's with heavy makeup. Considering all that, Wu Dongming was the only one around her who fit that description.
After all, Ren Chi rarely appeared in front of students, and Long Xing had no idea that An Han and Ren Chi had a good relationship.
“To take the blame for the counselor… I guess that’s a worthy sacrifice?” An Han almost burst out laughing.
Su Peng reminded her quietly, “Don’t let them hear that.”
“Okay!” An Han immediately shut her mouth and her big eyes moved around Su Peng. “Why does it feel like you’ve become naughty?”
She didn’t even realize she could have pushed the suspicion onto someone else.
“I’ll be even naughtier in the future.”
“……”
It sounded like Su Peng was flirting with her again.
An Han rolled her eyes at him and didn’t bother thinking about what would happen next with Long Xing and Wu Dongming. It was just a misunderstanding, nothing too interesting could come from it.
“I’m going back first. I’m so sleepy.”
An Han stretched. She barely slept last night because she was worried Su Peng might “attack” her at night.
“Go to the dorm with me. I’ll take you back on my bike, it’ll be faster.”
Her eyes lit up immediately, and she quickly followed him. “Okay! I didn’t want to walk anyway!”
“How about I pick you up and drop you off from now on?”
“That’s even better!”
Su Peng originally wanted to just give her the bicycle, but then he thought again, picking her up and taking her home every day would make it easier for their relationship to grow.
“Then I’ll wait for you downstairs at 7:30 every morning. We can also get breakfast together.”
An Han nodded very fast. She grabbed Su Peng’s wrist and started running toward the dorm building. “Great, then we can go watch the fun!”
“Fun?”
“To see how Dongming explains himself~ Help me climb over the wall!”
Su Peng followed as she pulled him along. He glanced at the students nearby who hadn’t left yet, a little worried that if he acted too close with An Han, people in their class might start spreading rumors about her.
But An Han didn’t care at all…
On the other side, Wu Dongming had already returned to his dorm.
Just like last semester, the moment he got back, he sat in front of his computer, opened the anime he had been catching up on, listened to the opening song, and ordered food on his phone.
His roommates also returned one after another, but the dorm was very quiet. They were the type who didn’t talk much and liked to mind their own business. But he actually preferred the lively, noisy feeling of An Han’s dorm.
Suddenly, the door opened again. Wu Dongming turned his head out of habit and saw Chen Junjie casually walking in.
