Chapter 51: You Have to Take Responsibility for Me

“Then… we’ll head back first,” Bai Shuchuan said.

In her current state, it wouldn’t be a good idea to take her back to the girls’ dorm. If she got drunk and said more things, it might make the situation worse.

“Alright, alright, we’ll head back too,” Li Bowen said.

The four of them took a taxi by the roadside. Bai Shuchuan helped Su Moyu into the car.

About thirty minutes later, it was a very similar scene again. Bai Shuchuan supported Su Moyu to the front of the door, then freed one hand to open it.

Su Moyu leaned against him. The soft feeling of her body made Bai Shuchuan feel restless.

But what confused him even more was that “husband” she called him earlier.

Maybe it was just… something she said casually?

As he was thinking, Su Moyu suddenly found the strength to stand up straight.

“My head hurts…”

She looked up at him, her voice soft and weak. “I want to drink some water…”

Bai Shuchuan cleared his throat. “Let’s go inside first.”

He helped her walk unsteadily to the bed and lie down.

“I’ll go boil some water,” Bai Shuchuan said.

“Wait!” Su Moyu called out to stop him.

He looked at her face. Her voice sounded very spoiled and clingy.

“Pat my head,” Su Moyu muttered.

Bai Shuchuan had never seen her act like this before…

His heart moved slightly, but he also felt a bit embarrassed.

Maybe because of some hidden feelings, or maybe just a sudden impulse, Bai Shuchuan suddenly realized something different.

Why does this feel like… having a girlfriend?

Thinking this, he still reached out and gently patted her head.

After filling the kettle with water and putting it on the base, he turned around and saw that the girl on the bed had already closed her eyes. Her cheeks were red, her small lips slightly open, and her body shape was clearly visible.

He suddenly felt troubled. How could he have such thoughts about his own friend?

He must have been single for too long…

“Bai Shuchuan…” Su Moyu softly called his name. He looked at her and saw that she had sat up.

“What is it?” he replied gently.

“Are you really unhappy being with me?” She looked at him, her expression wronged, like a small kitten.

“No,” Bai Shuchuan answered softly. But inside, a strange feeling quietly spread.

Su Moyu crossed her arms. “But you look like you’re not very willing.”

Seeing her pouting, Bai Shuchuan felt even more surprised.

“Well…”

Su Moyu blinked and opened her arms toward him. “I want a hug.”

Bai Shuchuan felt his palms getting hot. He hesitated for a moment.

“What’s wrong with you…”

“Bai Shuchuan, hurry and hug me,” Su Moyu said, sounding a bit angry now, her voice raised slightly.

Not really understanding why, Bai Shuchuan pulled her into his arms.

Su Moyu showed a satisfied smile. She hugged him tightly, and once again he felt the softness of her body.

“Am I cute?” Su Moyu looked up at him.

Bai Shuchuan really couldn’t handle it anymore.

“Mm…”

He responded stiffly. At that moment, his face suddenly turned red.

“Say it properly,” Su Moyu complained again, her voice full of a spoiled tone.

“Very cute,” he said, his voice unusually low.

“I’m not really a girl anyway. If you touch me or hug me, I won’t get mad,” Su Moyu snorted softly in his arms. “I’m already this pretty, how can you have no thoughts at all?”

“Bai Shuchuan, is there something wrong with your orientation… do you like men…”

Before she could finish, she was suddenly pushed down onto the bed.

She took a sharp breath, feeling her hands being firmly held down.

He’s so strong…

Looking at his face so close to hers, Su Moyu’s heartbeat sped up without her noticing.

“I just don’t want you to dislike me,” Bai Shuchuan said in a low voice.

He lowered his eyes and looked at her face, his heart filled with mixed feelings of impulse and hesitation.

He didn’t know how to be in a relationship, and he didn’t want his relationship with Su Moyu to turn into something he couldn’t handle.

Suddenly, a warm and soft touch came to his lips. Bai Shuchuan froze for a moment, then felt her warm breath.

Her movements were gentle and a bit clumsy. Then he felt his own kiss press down more firmly. Su Moyu couldn’t catch her breath, and their breathing became uneven.

After a moment, he stopped. He looked at her slightly breathless face, and the feelings in his heart rose again.

“You… are you drunk?” Bai Shuchuan asked.

Su Moyu’s cheeks were red. “Even if I’m drunk, I can still kiss you.”

Bai Shuchuan let go of her hands and quietly looked at her.

“Is it okay?” he asked softly.

Su Moyu pouted and looked to the side.

“If we’re just friends, then no,” she said quietly.

Bai Shuchuan didn’t reply. He just looked at her, his thoughts in a mess.

She felt his gaze and her body tensed slightly, but she didn’t push him away.

The room became quiet, filled only with their uneven breathing.

“So… what are we now?” Bai Shuchuan asked hesitantly.

Su Moyu smiled, her face still slightly red. “Why ask? Aren’t we already… husband and wife?”
