Chapter 82: What Happened After
When Mu Le woke up, it was already late in the morning.
She opened her eyes on the bed, now alone, but didn’t get up right away. Instead, she just lay there, staring blankly for a long time.
Her whole body felt sore. Even a small movement made her wince in pain.
As her thoughts slowly returned, memories of last night came back to her. Along with the faint, familiar smell still in the air, she couldn’t help but narrow her eyes.

So when Xiao Yuze pushed the door open and walked in, what he saw was Mu Le repeatedly hitting her head against the pillow.

“Looks like I was worried for nothing. Lele, you… seem pretty energetic.”
The sudden voice made Mu Le freeze. She lifted her head and glanced at him, then suddenly grabbed a pillow and threw it at him.
“Get out, get out! I don’t want to see you right now!”
He raised his hand and caught the pillow easily, smiling as if he didn’t mind at all.
However, his smile soon turned a bit strange. After thinking quietly for a moment, he said softly, “Oh? But I remember that last night, Lele, you didn’t seem to say that.”
This time, Mu Le didn’t answer. She just pulled the blanket over her head.
Last night… Under the blanket, when she remembered what she did, she felt so embarrassed that she almost wanted to bury her head completely.
Something must have been wrong with her. Otherwise, how could she have acted like that? No, that must have just been her imagination in a confused state!
Because no matter how she thought about it, there was no way she would show that kind of expression.
“What, are you shy?”
Xiao Yuze walked to the bedside. After putting the pillow back at the head of the bed, he reached out and lightly patted the lump under the blanket.
“There will be many times like this in the future. You’ll get used to it.”
“Who wants to get used to it… wait, who wants to do that many times with you?!” Mu Le couldn’t hold it in anymore. She stuck her head out, her face red, and shouted at the man beside the bed.
But he only raised his eyebrow and gave her a meaningful look. “What do you think?”
“Don’t talk to me, you beast!”
Before she even finished speaking, Mu Le hid under the blanket again.
“Beast?” Hearing this, Xiao Yuze couldn’t help but smile awkwardly and touch his nose.
He admitted that he might have been a bit too rough at the time, but she was the one who kept holding onto him and not letting go.

Then Xiao Yuze suddenly bent down and lightly kissed her slightly swollen lips. Smiling gently, he said, “It’s okay. Whether it’s you or a child, I can take care of both.”
His face was so close, and his warm breath brushed against her skin, making Mu Le’s face turn even redder.
She quickly pulled her hand free from his grip and covered her mouth as she coughed lightly.
“Ahem, I’m not in the mood to joke with you right now.”
Xiao Yuze smiled softly and patted her head, his eyes becoming serious.
“I’m not joking at all.”
But seeing her avoiding his gaze, he knew he shouldn’t push her too much, so he slowly stepped back.
“Alright, let’s not talk about this for now. Are you hungry? I made breakfast for you.”
Mu Le touched her stomach. After all that activity, she really was a bit hungry.
So in the end, she didn’t hesitate much and nodded.
“Hungry.”
