Chapter 313: No Matter How You Look at It, He Got It for Free
The new bedding and mattress had arrived.
Although the sofa in An Han’s rented place was big enough for her, she could lie on it with some space left, Su Peng could only sleep curled up. Whenever he stayed over, it was honestly uncomfortable for him.
He never complained, but An Han often saw him sleeping badly when she got up at night to use the bathroom. So she secretly bought the bedding as a surprise for him.
“What did you buy? Why so many things?”
“A quilt! From now on you sleep in the second bedroom!”
But when Su Peng learned about it, he didn’t look as happy as she imagined. Instead, the corner of his mouth twitched, and he nodded helplessly.
“Don’t you sleep badly on the sofa?”
An Han took off her jacket, confused about why Su Peng reacted like that.
In her opinion, not sleeping well was basically slow torture. When she first entered college, she had suffered a lot because her roommate snored loudly every night.
Calling out Long Xing by name!
She dropped the packages on the floor and closed the door.
“Go clean your room. When you come over from now on, you’ll sleep in the second bedroom.”
“Okay…”
After thinking from his point of view, An Han stared at him suspiciously.
“You weren’t hoping I’d feel sorry for you and let you sleep in my room together, right?”
“……”
This was the problem with having a girlfriend who thought too much like a guy, she exposed his thoughts too easily.
“So I bought all this for nothing?” An Han muttered as she grabbed scissors from the kitchen and helped open the package.
Inside were the mattress pad, bedding, quilt cover, pillowcases, basically a full set. It cost her more than four hundred yuan.
The quilt covers and pillowcases looked like just thin pieces of cloth, yet a full set cost over a hundred. It felt ridiculous.
Su Peng sighed, took the opened bedding, and went to the second bedroom. An Han followed him since she had nothing else to do, leaning on the doorway.
Today was Saturday. In the evening, her roommates, Lin Yi, and Kexin, five people in total, would come over to celebrate her birthday.
They planned to eat hot pot, and she needed to prepare in advance.
Seven people could sit around the small table. She already had an induction cooker at home, the only thing missing was a divided hot pot so they could have spicy and non-spicy soup. She also needed to buy a few small stools from the supermarket, some snacks, and a box of beer because Long Xing always wanted beer at gatherings.
Thinking about the dinner party, An Han raised her head, only to see that Su Peng still hadn’t managed to put the quilt cover on.
The quilt had turned into a messy ball, and Su Peng was awkwardly trying to stuff it inside the cover. After struggling for a long time with no progress, he finally looked at her helplessly.
“You don’t even know how to put on a quilt cover…?”
“I’ve never done it.” Su Peng grinned. “But that’s why you’re here.”
“You really act like a spoiled young master…” An Han complained softly as she stepped into the room. “Move. Don’t get in the way. I’ll do it.”
The second bedroom was smaller than the main one. Without a wardrobe or desk, the double bed took up most of the space, leaving only about a meter of walking area.
She squeezed past Su Peng and started fixing the bedsheet and cover. Su Peng stood awkwardly in the corner, trying to observe and learn, but his eyes kept drifting toward her.
The weather had warmed to around twenty degrees. Two days ago, An Han still wore thick fluffy pajamas at home, but today she had switched to a thin shirt-style sleepwear.
An Han climbed onto the bed to pull the quilt forward. She leaned down, moving from the foot of the bed to the head.
Su Peng quickly looked away, trying not to stare. He rubbed his nose, feeling a little embarrassed.
Lately he had been constantly teased by situations like this without any relief, so even small things made him feel more sensitive.
Maybe he should go back to school for a while later. With a clean little “white rabbit” moving around in front of him, he always worried he wouldn’t be able to control himself.
“All done!”
Even though An Han noticed Su Peng’s eyes on her, she didn’t mind. She climbed off the bed, clapped her hands, put her hands on her hips, and proudly said, “Without me, what would you do? You can’t even handle a quilt.”
Well… since Su Peng was good at sports, good at studying, and usually better at games than her too, this was one of the few things she could be proud of.
“Come downstairs with me to buy some things for the guests.”
She gathered the delivery packaging in her arms and waved for Su Peng to follow her out of the second bedroom.
“Just tell me what you want to buy and I’ll get it.”
“That works too. Help me throw away the trash while you go.”
She stuffed the packaging into Su Peng’s arms and flopped down onto the sofa, stretching and yawning over and over.
Seeing that Su Peng hadn’t left yet, An Han curiously asked, “What gift did you prepare for me?”
“I didn’t. I don’t know what you want…”
“That’s true, there’s no need to buy anything.”
Su Peng glanced at her agreeing expression, wondering if she meant it or if it was one of those “opposite meaning” moments.
“In that case, I don’t need to buy you anything either!”
An Han also felt troubled about what to give Su Peng next week.
Thinking from his point of view… If she were still a guy, and didn’t lack money, then for his birthday, what gift would he expect from a girlfriend…?
She couldn’t really give herself as the gift, right? Su Peng would definitely be happy, but she would be the one suffering, her parents might even beat her up.
Game consoles, PS5, graphics cards, and those “guy gifts”. Su Peng had money, so he probably didn’t need any of that.
Wait!
An Han suddenly realized her thoughts were heading in a dangerous direction.
[Option 1: Give yourself to Su Peng as a gift. Reward: A healthy and adorable baby]
[Option 2: Help Su Peng release stress. Reward: High-level special skills]
[Option 3: Any normal gift. Reward: Random stat point]
Of course!
Kicking her when she’s already down, that’s exactly like this system!
[Reminder: Su Peng’s affection level is about to pass 110.]
An Han froze again.
She hadn’t checked Su Peng’s affection level in a long time, and she didn’t expect that after so long, it was already close to 110.
Even though affection wasn’t exactly the same as romantic love, normally:
80 means “likes you.”
100 means “love that ignores what others think.”
Then 110…
“I’m heading downstairs now. Besides the divided hot pot, drinks, and snacks, do we need anything else?”
Su Peng put on a jacket and shoes, ready to leave.
“Su Peng.”
“Hm?”
An Han quickly called him back. A little shy, but still determined, she asked:
“What do you think is a good chest size for a girl?”
“……”
Su Peng felt she was getting bolder by the day. He looked at her chest, now it had already reached the size he always wished for.
He used to joke about her being flat-chested. Half a year later, she had gone from “airport runway” to “small hill.”
“It’s perfect the way it is now.”
“Oh~”
An Han didn’t want anything too big. That would look unnatural and even a bit scary.
So… should she remove Option 3 first?
But Options 1 and 2…
No matter how she looked at them, both felt like choices where she’d end up at a disadvantage.
