Chapter 322: Stupid Boyfriend

Wednesday, the day before Su Peng’s birthday.

An Han felt more and more nervous. Every time her eyes met Su Peng’s, her face would heat up uncontrollably. She couldn’t even imagine that scene…

Su Peng also noticed that An Han had been blushing way too often these past two days. It made him want to tease her even more. So he directly reached out and pinched her soft cheek, joking with a smile.

“What are you thinking about? Your face is always so red.”

“I wasn’t thinking about anything…” Feeling completely guilty, An Han took a small step back, not daring to look straight at him. “Su Peng… are you free tonight?”

“Tonight?”

Su Peng didn’t expect her to take the initiative like this.

Together with her slightly pink cheeks, he suspected she was planning something strange again. Just like that time when he brought her late-night food and saw her wearing that backless sweater the moment he walked in.

Feeling sleepy, he yawned a few times and nodded.

“Okay.”

Anyway, he wouldn’t be the one at a disadvantage. At most, he just got something nice to look at. What annoyed him was that he couldn’t release any of his pent-up energy recently.

“What did you two do last night? Why are you so tired?”

An Han’s face cooled down a little as she mumbled, “He didn’t take you to some shady club, right?”

“We played games all night at an internet café. He even treated me dinner.”

After they walked out of the teaching building, An Han quickly noticed Su Yichang waiting nearby. She couldn’t help glaring at him, then whispered to Su Peng, “When is he leaving…”

She felt like someone was stealing her man. She was actually jealous.

“The day after tomorrow, I think? He’s busy with work. Even during New Year he didn’t have time to meet.”

Sensing her sour tone, Su Peng turned to look at her slightly unhappy face and explained, “He finally has some free time.”

“I know…”

Ever since Su Yichang arrived, Su Peng could only chat with her during class. His replies online were also slower. Before, he always replied instantly, but now it often took minutes or even half an hour.

She was used to sticking close to him every day. Now even a little distance made her uncomfortable.

Watching Su Peng walk side by side with Su Yichang, she took a deep breath to calm her jealousy.

This wasn’t like her. Before, she never clung to anyone. Not her parents, not even relatives or friends she was close to. Never.

But now she was like this…

During the winter break, she couldn’t stand not meeting Su Peng, so she ran out to find him. And now it was getting even worse.

An Han realized her personality was changing a lot after becoming female. She wasn’t as independent as before. Deep down, she always wanted to rely on Su Peng.

“Su Peng, then I’ll go back on my own?”

……………………………………

At a little past eight that night, Su Peng knocked on her door with a faint smell of alcohol on him.

He felt nervous, An Han never allowed him to drink, but he still drank quite a bit with Su Yichang today.

He wasn’t drunk, but the smell wasn’t great.

Soon, An Han opened the door and glanced at him with a blank expression. That look made his heart tighten even more.

“I haven’t seen my cousin for a long time, so we just drank a tiny bit.”

Su Peng held up his thumb and index finger to show “a little bit.”

“I didn’t say I’m angry.”

An Han turned around and walked into the room. Su Peng took off his shoes and followed.

The room was spotless. The TV was playing a drama she had been watching, and the air carried a faint, lovely perfume smell that calmed the senses.

Su Peng asked curiously, “I thought you didn’t like perfume?”

“Really?”

“I used perfume before on purpose, and you said it smelled bad.”

Only then did An Han remember that. But back then, she actually liked the smell of Su Peng’s perfume… she had just been saying the opposite of what she felt.

“I didn’t like that perfume’s smell.” She still spoke stubbornly, “And men using perfume is a bit unusual.”

“Men’s perfume…” Su Peng sat down right next to her, but he suddenly noticed her shoulders stiffen for a moment.

He didn’t understand why. After drinking and staying up all night, his brain wasn’t working well.

Yawning nonstop, he leaned back on the sofa, eyes half open and half closed.

An Han’s face stayed blank. She straightened her back, pushed her chest forward, and stared at the TV without looking sideways, waiting for Su Peng’s heated, possessive gaze.

She had purposely dressed up today.

She wore a short skirt, warm tights so she wouldn’t feel cold, and a blue-white cropped sailor top.

If she moved too much, her flat stomach would show.

She wasn’t wearing slippers, her feet wrapped in black stockings touched the cold, smooth floor. After sitting down, she crossed her legs and let them gently sway in the air.

She had always been an expert at using men’s preferences.

Too bad the weather was still a bit cold. Otherwise wearing thigh-high stockings to show the “absolute zone” would attract a man’s eyes the most.

But after waiting for a while…

She still didn’t feel Su Peng’s gaze fall on her.

Did Su Peng not like short skirts, stockings, and sailor uniforms? That was impossible.

After knowing him for so many years, she clearly knew this guy liked legs, feet, big chests, and long hair. He was the type who looked innocent on the outside but had a dirty mind inside. Right now, except for not having long hair, she fit all his preferences.

In the end, she couldn’t hold it in and looked at him in confusion.

“He fell asleep?!”

Su Peng had slumped sideways onto the sofa’s armrest, head hanging a little, breathing deep and steady. At some unknown moment, he had already drifted off to sleep.

A mix of shame and anger rushed to her head. An Han wanted to smack him awake with two big slaps.

She had carefully dressed up just to celebrate his birthday at midnight, yet he didn’t even look at her, he just went straight to sleep!

Shivering from the cold, she put on her coat with a wronged expression. Curling her legs up, she sat there alone, puffed up with anger like a pufferfish.

“Stupid boyfriend…”

She buried her head in her arms and grumbled. Now she finally understood why women use that phrase. She used to dislike the term, but now it felt way too accurate for Su Peng.

“Forget it… he did stay up all night yesterday.”

She sighed softly, wrapped herself tightly in her coat, rushed into the bedroom to change into warmer clothes, then burrowed under the blanket, face full of frustration as she played on her phone.

Su Peng would probably sleep straight till morning.

Would the cake in the fridge spoil by tomorrow? She had even bought fresh ingredients to cook dinner for him tonight.

The backless sweater she planned to wear was already hidden under the blanket, ready to put on at any time…

She wasn’t too worried about the "giving it away" issue right now, because her period just happened to start today. Su Peng probably wouldn’t be into anything extreme.

She had finally gathered enough courage…

And Su Peng fell asleep!

So annoying!

“Arghhh!!!”

Irritated, she wrapped herself completely in the blanket.

“If he doesn’t wake up before 2 a.m., then I’ll just let the system force the task to be completed…”
