Chapter 85: Isn’t It All for You
A smile appeared on Bai Shuchuan’s face, and Su Moyu suddenly felt shy again.
It was her first time in a relationship where she dared to say such bold things.
When she was dating Zhou Ya before, even a slightly suggestive joke would get her criticized.
But with Bai Shuchuan, she didn’t need to hide anything. After all, he was also someone with plenty of naughty thoughts.
Back when they had late-night talks in the boys’ dorm, she even felt like he knew more than she did.
“Alright, you can put me down now,” Su Moyu said softly.
Bai Shuchuan let go of her, and just then, Su Moyu suddenly remembered something.
She hadn’t changed her pad yet.
She walked into the bathroom and sat down on the toilet.
Honestly, thinking about it, being a girl really was troublesome.
Although she was almost used to the pain by now.
Or more accurately, she had become numb to this kind of discomfort.
She let out a soft sigh, and only then felt ready to go out with Bai Shuchuan.
She still had to change it again after a while…
The feeling of having something there was really not comfortable.
When she left the apartment, she saw shared bicycles by the roadside and thought riding one there would be convenient.
“Why don’t we just ride bikes?” she suggested softly.
“Okay,” Bai Shuchuan replied.
Su Moyu lifted her leg to get onto the bike, but got stuck for a moment because of the seat height.
After becoming a girl, her height had clearly decreased.
She adjusted the seat with some effort. When she finally got on, she saw Bai Shuchuan already waiting a short distance ahead.
“Just follow me,” he said, turning his head to look at her.
Su Moyu smiled shyly. She hadn’t even said anything yet, but he was already being considerate, which made her feel a bit embarrassed.
“Okay,” she replied softly.
Although the cat café was inside a mall, it was quite spacious. Su Moyu generously bought tickets for both of them, then put on shoe covers and walked inside.
Drinks were free, but she felt it was better to behave a bit more calmly today.
She walked to a corner and picked up an American Shorthair cat. Bai Shuchuan watched as the little cat looked completely helpless while Su Moyu happily cuddled it over and over.
It seemed she really wanted to have a cat…
Thinking this, Bai Shuchuan walked over and sat beside her. She gently stroked the cat’s fur. Looking at her side profile, he could see a faint smile on her face, and her eyes were so gentle they almost seemed to melt.
“So cute,” Su Moyu said softly, her hands not stopping.
Bai Shuchuan smiled quietly without replying.
But this scene felt very familiar to him.
Back in elementary school, there was a long stone staircase at the school gate. Since the school was built on a hill, there were often a few stray cats around.
During breaks, Su Moyu liked to use her small amount of pocket money to buy food for those stray cats.
Bai Shuchuan would just stand nearby, watching her play with the cats, waiting until she was done before going home together.
But if they found too many cats at once, getting scolded at home was something Bai Shuchuan was already used to.
Su Moyu brushed aside a strand of hair. The cat suddenly turned its head and lightly bit her finger, probably getting a bit annoyed by all the cuddling.
“Ah!” Su Moyu cried out softly and pulled her hand back. Bai Shuchuan quickly leaned closer.
“Did it bite your hand?” Bai Shuchuan asked softly.
“No. This little guy actually dared to fight back,” Su Moyu said angrily, then picked it up again and cuddled it hard.
“A domineering boss forcing love, let’s see you resist me…”
Hearing her talk to herself, Bai Shuchuan couldn’t help but smile again.
“Maybe raising a Ragdoll cat would be nice too,” Su Moyu said. After getting bored, she switched to another kitten. “This one is much better behaved than the last American Shorthair. Look how good it is.”
As she spoke, she rubbed its belly hard. The kitten lay on her lap, looking completely relaxed, squinting its eyes and making soft purring sounds.
“Which kind of cat do you like the most?” Bai Shuchuan asked.
“Honestly, any cat is fine, as long as it’s not a hairless one. Those look kind of ugly.”
“If we really get one, maybe a Chinese tabby would be better. They’re easier to take care of, and we’ve never raised a cat before.”
Bai Shuchuan nodded thoughtfully. Talking about having a cat was something he had heard from her since they were kids.
When Su Moyu was very young, she had already told him things like, “When I have money, I want to raise a cat.”
Now that they even had a place to live, that wish didn’t seem hard to achieve anymore.
Su Moyu then leaned on his shoulder and yawned lazily.
“Now I feel like sleeping again…”
Just then, a small orange cat came over and started rubbing against Bai Shuchuan’s arm. Su Moyu frowned slightly, looking at the thin little cat. Bai Shuchuan reached out and gently moved it closer, and Su Moyu’s sympathy immediately overflowed.
“It must be because no one pets it, so it came here because it’s jealous and wants attention,” she said, placing her other hand on its head.
Bai Shuchuan really admired her strong sense of empathy.
Sometimes he realized that the way he thought was very different from hers.
From that point of view, he even felt that Su Moyu was truly suited to being a girl.
His gaze fell on her side profile again.
For a brief moment, a strange thought appeared in his heart, a kind of sudden envy.
If the Su Moyu who had been with him from the beginning had always been a girl, would that have been even better…?
He quickly felt that this kind of thinking was a bit selfish.
After leaving the cat café, Su Moyu pulled Bai Shuchuan to eat something simple by the street.
“Bai Shuchuan, do you want some porridge?” she asked, turning to him.
“I feel like it won’t be enough. I haven’t exercised today yet.”
Su Moyu wanted something light, since what she ate at noon was quite heavy.
“Then let’s eat spicy hotpot.”
Another meal expense. Looking at the bill on her phone, Su Moyu suddenly made up her mind.
“It really feels better to cook at home,” she said softly.
“Aren’t we at school most of the time? We only eat out occasionally…”
“But we still need to prepare some ingredients at home,” Su Moyu said, carefully picking up a quail egg with her chopsticks. A bright smile appeared on her face.
“Look, am I good or not?”
Bai Shuchuan nodded. “Very good.”
“Hehe~”
“I’ve decided. I’m going to start learning how to cook.”
“Go for it.”
Su Moyu glanced at him lightly, then sighed helplessly, speaking in a serious tone.
“I’m doing this for your sake, you know.”
