Chapter 93: I’ll Reluctantly Be Your Girlfriend~

She was carried all the way home by Bai Shuchuan. After lying back on her bed and feeling how soft it was, her mood became much better.

Seeing her stretch her arms and legs freely, Bai Shuchuan felt like she didn’t look that sick from the fever.

“The bed at home is still the most comfortable,” Su Moyu mumbled, burying her face in the pillow.

“Did you… take cold medicine?” Bai Shuchuan asked hesitantly.

He didn’t have much experience with girlfriends… and having his “best bro” suddenly become his girlfriend was a first.

Before, when Su Moyu got sick, he usually didn’t care much, unless she felt really terrible and came to him asking for medicine. Only then would he “kindly” give her some.

But now that she was his girlfriend, treating her the same way as before didn’t feel right.

The problem was… he didn’t really know how to show care, so he could only ask something simple like that.

“Didn’t you already ask that?” After a while, Su Moyu slowly raised her head and looked at him.

“Did I…?” Bai Shuchuan smiled awkwardly. “Well… if you need anything, just call me.”

Su Moyu buried her face back into the pillow.

It was obvious, he had no idea what to do.

She felt like Bai Shuchuan had suddenly become smarter. Normally, he wouldn’t say things in such a roundabout way.

“I do need something,” she said softly.

Her condition wasn’t that serious… she was just sleepy and had a bit of a headache.

Bai Shuchuan sat down beside the bed, and Su Moyu slipped her hand into his.

Her whole hand was cold. Without thinking, he held it tightly. Then she climbed up and sat on his lap, curling up in his arms.

He instinctively wrapped his arms around her waist.

“I’m a bit cold,” Su Moyu sniffed.

Her body was still soft.

Looking at her flushed cheeks and her beautiful but tired eyes, Bai Shuchuan could see she was exhausted.

“Maybe your fever went up again?” he said, holding her closer, pressing her head against his chest, and resting his chin on her forehead.

Su Moyu reached out and gently played with the edge of his clothes.

“Mm…” she replied softly. Another wave of cold ran through her body, making her shiver in his arms.

She let out a long breath.

“When I was sick before, why didn’t I see you care about me like this?” she asked weakly.

Bai Shuchuan really didn’t know how to answer that.

“Before…” he dragged out the word, buying time to think.

“We were just bros,” he finally said.

Su Moyu laughed, though her voice wasn’t as bright as usual.

“So you’re actually such a heartless person,” she muttered softly. “When your bro is sick, you don’t care. But when it’s your girlfriend, you do.”

“Uh…” Bai Shuchuan was left speechless.

“It’s not like that,” he tried to explain.

“You just care more about girls than friends,” she accused.

He couldn’t argue and could only smile helplessly.

“I can’t exactly care more about friends than my girlfriend, right?”

Hearing that, Su Moyu immediately lifted her head and looked at him.

“Then why even get a girlfriend?” she asked, sounding a bit unhappy.

“When it comes to my girlfriend… I don’t think it’s even a question,” he replied.

She frowned slightly, feeling a strange mix of emotions.

He actually turned the argument back on her.

Su Moyu blinked. There was no way she would accept losing to Bai Shuchuan.

“If the ‘friend’ is me, then it’s wrong,” she said, crossing her arms like she was claiming her position.

Bai Shuchuan nodded and went along with her. “Okay.”

“Then, to help you be a good person, I’ll reluctantly be your girlfriend,” Su Moyu said with a faint smile, looking a little proud.

“Thank you,” Bai Shuchuan replied.

Her cheeks were red, it was hard to tell if it was from shyness or from the fever.

But to him, she just looked cute.

“You’re welcome,” Su Moyu answered quickly.

Bai Shuchuan let out a breath, and his hand naturally rested on her legs.

They looked at each other.

She stared into his eyes until he started to look confused.

“Where do you think your hand is going?” she reminded him.

Only then did he move his wandering hand away.

After he behaved and took his hand back, Su Moyu casually added,

“I didn’t say you’re not allowed to touch.”

If this were the usual Su Moyu, Bai Shuchuan might have already pushed her onto the bed and taken things further.

But now she was sick and had just taken medicine… no matter what, he couldn’t…

“Go boil some water for me,” Su Moyu said as she got off him and lay back on the bed.

“Okay.” Bai Shuchuan stood up and walked out of the bedroom.

Su Moyu wrapped herself in the blanket. Her nose was still completely blocked.

She hadn’t changed her sanitary pad yet.

She got up and went into the bathroom, but her slipper slipped, and she fell hard inside.

Thud!

She gasped in pain, curled up on the floor, holding her arm. Her pretty face twisted in pain.

With difficulty, she got up and staggered inside, closing the door.

When Bai Shuchuan came over, he only saw the bathroom door closed.

“What happened just now?” he asked softly.

Su Moyu didn’t answer.

After a while, she came out. Bai Shuchuan was already sitting by the bed, looking at his phone.

She limped over to him. Seeing this, he immediately stood up to help her.

“Did you fall just now?”

Hearing his gentle voice, and feeling the pain in her right leg, she was about to answer, but the feeling of hurt and sadness rose to her throat first.

“Mm…” Her voice suddenly sounded like she was about to cry.

That sour feeling in her heart kept rising, making her thoughts messy.

“It hurts a lot…” she said, and tears fell from her eyes.

Bai Shuchuan froze for a moment as he watched her tears fall. Then she threw herself into his arms.

He wrapped his arms around her waist and gently stroked her head.

She was like a little cat, trembling uneasily in his arms.

“Be more careful next time,” he said softly.

Su Moyu sniffled quietly. Feeling the tears on her cheeks, she thought… maybe she was being a bit too weak.

But…

She held onto his shoulders more tightly.

Sometimes, she just wanted to act like a child and be a little spoiled…

After all, she had never cried when she fell while growing up. Now that she was a girl, crying a little could be seen as making up for her past self.

That’s what she thought to herself.
