Chapter 99: Being With You Makes Me Happy

Su Moyu then pulled Bai Shuchuan out of the house.

When it came to going out, Bai Shuchuan never had strong opinions. He just followed wherever Su Moyu led him.

After getting into the car, Su Moyu leaned closer and showed him her phone.

“Let’s eat here. It’s all-you-can-eat barbecue. I haven’t had it for a while because of my cold,” she suggested.

“No problem.”

It cost 120 per person, not too expensive. And after eating light food for several days while she was sick, Bai Shuchuan even felt a bit sorry for her.

“I’m going to eat enough to make it worth it~” Su Moyu leaned on his shoulder and said firmly.

Bai Shuchuan didn’t reply.

Su Moyu already didn’t eat much before, and now that she had become a girl, she ate even less.

“Just don’t eat too much at once,” he said.

“I know.”

Even though Su Moyu wasn’t very good at cooking, she was quite good at grilling meat.

After they sat down, she busily grilled meat for him.

When she put another piece of meat onto his plate, Bai Shuchuan frowned and looked at her with suspicion.

“Aren’t you eating?”

Su Moyu blinked and gave a sweet smile.

“You eat more first… after all…” She blinked mysteriously. “You’ll need energy later, right?”

Her voice was soft, like an older sister coaxing a child to eat.

But Bai Shuchuan seemed to understand what she was hinting at.

“Later… are we going to do something?” he asked, even though he already knew.

Su Moyu paused, staring at his face for a moment. Suddenly, she felt a bit guilty, like a small secret in her heart had been found out.

Even though this wasn’t their first time doing “that,” they hadn’t done that kind of thing for a whole week, and she really didn’t know how to bring it up.

“Did you work out today? You haven’t gone to the gym much lately, right?” Su Moyu flipped the meat and wrapped it in lettuce. “Can you be a bit more disciplined!”

Bai Shuchuan almost laughed. “I don’t think you’re in a position to lecture me.”

Su Moyu was instantly speechless. She was usually quite lazy too.

“What, if I became really muscular…” she said while putting the meat into her mouth, “would you still like me?”

“That wouldn’t be bad,” he replied.

Her expression immediately became a bit unhappy.

“I still prefer how I look now,” she said. “Isn’t it nice, soft and a bit chubby when you hug me?”

Bai Shuchuan smiled awkwardly. Honestly, it did feel nice.

“Yeah,” he admitted.

“You don’t know how lucky you are,” Su Moyu mumbled before swallowing her food.

Seriously.

“With a body like mine, even I haven’t gotten to enjoy it yet,” she complained, looking at him with a bit of blame.

“You still need to exercise a bit,” he said.

“I know.”

At this point, Su Moyu felt like her life wasn’t complete.

She hadn’t even properly experienced being with a girl before, and now Bai Shuchuan had already “claimed” her.

She popped a cherry into her mouth, the sweet and sour taste spreading across her tongue.

Su Moyu looked up at him. When Bai Shuchuan met her gaze, he frowned slightly.

“What’s wrong?” he asked.

She shook her head, but a faint smile appeared on her face.

Maybe this was how it was meant to be.

Being his girlfriend wasn’t bad at all.

She looked at the empty plates on the table, then stood up to get more food.

Bai Shuchuan was watching the meat on the grill when, after a while, Su Moyu came back with two bottles of alcohol.

“Let’s drink a bit,” she said with a smile, shaking the bottle in her hand.

He took it, feeling like something was off.

If she got drunk… what would she do with that beautiful body of hers later?

He suddenly had a bad feeling.

Su Moyu sat down and handed him the bottle.

Was she trying to get him drunk?

“Open it for me,” she said.

It seemed that after becoming a girl, her alcohol tolerance had gotten worse.

After just two small bottles of beer, she was already dizzy. Her fair cheeks turned slightly red.

“So dizzy…” she rubbed her temples, her pretty eyes looking a little unfocused.

“If you’re dizzy, stop drinking,” Bai Shuchuan said.

She pouted. “I want to drink.”

He smiled helplessly. She really felt like a child sometimes.

“Then are you full?” he asked gently.

“I was already full,” she took another sip. “Otherwise why would I drink?”

“If you’re full, let’s go home,” he coaxed.

From what he remembered, Su Moyu didn’t really like drinking. Usually, she only drank when she was in a bad mood.

“Okay~” Her voice sounded soft and sweet. When she stood up, she almost lost her balance and leaned backward. If Bai Shuchuan hadn’t caught her, she would have fallen.

She leaned against him and slipped her hand into his.

He led her out of the mall and into the subway station.

“Did something bad happen recently?” he asked softly while holding her hand.

Su Moyu blinked and looked at him, a little confused.

“Nothing bad,” she said lightly, her tone soft and playful.

“Then why are you drinking?”

“Because I’m happy,” she replied.

Bai Shuchuan smiled helplessly. Watching her sway beside him, his eyes were full of warmth.

Sometimes, he felt like they met too late.

Even though they had grown up together, it was only now, because of this strange turn of events, that they became a couple.

The subway station was crowded. There were announcements, people talking, and the noise of trains rushing by.

But at that moment, time seemed to slow down. It was noisy, yet strangely quiet.
