Volume 4 Chapter 21: I Suddenly Remember I Have a Little Brother

That morning, Lin Lin felt like breakfast was very hard to swallow.

Her mom looked at her poor appetite and touched her forehead in confusion. No fever. She wasn’t sick.

Gao Liang leaned out of the window and called to her.

When Lin Lin heard him, her whole body shook. She quickly ran to the car and complained to him through the window:

“Don’t shout so loudly! Are you crazy?”

Lin Lin rolled her eyes at him. Then she looked around and even glanced up at her apartment window. After making sure no one was watching, she quickly got into the car.

But as soon as she opened the back door, Xiao Ye immediately pulled her inside.

“Ah—wait—!”

“Hahaha, Sister Lin Lin~ I missed you so much! Did you miss me?”

“Why are you here too?!”

Lin Lin was speechless as Xiao Ye pulled her down to lie on her lap. Xiao Ye closed the car door and explained,

“Well, I usually ride my bike to school. But since my brother is picking up Sister Lin Lin today, I got a free ride too. Though I had to wake up very early~ I’m so sleepy.”

“By the way, Lin Lin, you came out pretty late today,” Gao Liang turned around and said gently. “Uncle Wang, please drive a bit faster. I’m sitting in the front seat today, so you won’t feel nervous. I brought Gao Ye to keep you company. Did you wake up late?”
