Chapter 358: Class
Today the temperature went back up to more than twenty degrees. During the change from spring to summer, this kind of temperature is the most awkward.
When An Han finished showering and happily returned to the bedroom, she stood in front of the wardrobe and stared at the clothes inside with confusion.
Having too many clothes is also a problem, she spends half a day choosing what to wear. It wasn’t like before, when she had only two or three sets for winter and summer. She just wore whichever one was clean.
Now she couldn’t sleep anymore and wanted to ask Su Peng for his opinion. But when she turned around, she saw that this guy was sleeping deeply. The sound of her shower didn’t wake him at all.
“Mm…”
A thin long-sleeve shirt and a jacket should work, right? If it’s hot she can take the jacket off, and if it’s cold she still has it.
Then a skirt, black tights, and a pair of safety shorts. On top, a white shirt with a JK-style uniform jacket~
She didn’t know why, but when she was still male, she always felt that long sleeves with shorts looked ridiculous. But after becoming a girl, she felt long winter tops with skirts actually looked pretty nice.
Her upper body was covered tightly, but she still wanted to show off her legs.
But girls’ tights and leggings were much thicker than she used to imagine. Back then she even joked that girls who wore skirts in winter looked like “refrigerated ham.”
After taking out the chosen clothes from the wardrobe, An Han didn’t plan to change in front of Su Peng, just in case he was pretending to sleep. Instead, she left the room and went to the kitchen to make breakfast.
Yesterday Auntie only made her one dinner, but she stuffed An Han’s fridge completely full.
When she opened the fridge door, the food inside was almost overflowing. The freezer drawer was even stuck, and she had to use a lot of force to pull it out.
“Uncle and Auntie probably emptied the whole market yesterday afternoon…”
An Han complained about Auntie’s behavior as she took out the food from the fridge to check the expiry dates and storage needs.
“There’s no way I can finish all this.”
All the fruits needed to be eaten within a week. Fresh milk could only stay good for two or three days in the fridge. There were all kinds of bread and vegetables too…
She paused in front of the fridge for a moment and decided to make sandwiches.
Back home, her mother used to make sandwiches for her sister, a fried egg between two slices of bread and a glass of milk. Easy to make and quite balanced, protein and carbs included.
Following the same method, An Han made two breakfasts in less than ten minutes and set them on the table.
Checking the time again, she put the plates down and walked toward the bedroom.
“Wake up!”
The sudden voice scared Su Peng and made him open his eyes instantly. He rubbed his eyes in confusion, still sleepy, turned over, pulled the blanket over his head, and covered his ears.
“Got it… wait.”
He obviously didn’t plan to get up!
An Han walked up and grabbed the blanket, but Su Peng had pressed it under his body, so she couldn’t pull it away.
“Get up~” She stepped onto the bed and directly sat across his waist like riding a horse. “Get up and eat breakfast, wash up, then we’ll go to class!”
Su Peng curled up under the blanket like a quail. While An Han urged him, she also stood up from time to time and playfully dropped her weight on him.
“I’ll crush you! Hurry—”
She was noisily messing around when she suddenly froze. Her eyebrows tightened slightly, she looked behind her, and her face quickly turned red.
This guy! He was poking through the blanket!
“It’s a normal morning reaction,” Su Peng finally poked his head out.
“Pervert!”
Even though she knew Su Peng was telling the truth, An Han still had to mock him with a look of disgust. Then she quickly climbed off him, afraid they would waste their already-limited time doing “handwork.”
“Hurry up, breakfast is ready.”
“Okay, okay… stop rushing me, you’re making my head hurt.”
After breakfast, the two rode their bicycles to the school building.
Even though he had only missed a few days of class, Su Peng actually felt a strange sense of “it’s been a long time” when he sat down in the classroom.
He was very popular in class, so several days of skipping lessons had made many people notice. Now that he was back, many classmates he knew came over to greet him and ask how he had been.
“What were you busy with these days? You didn’t come to class at all?”
“Hey~ Su Peng! I heard you started an internship?”
An Han lay on her desk, her eyes darting around as she observed all the classmates who came to greet Su Peng.
Su Peng was really popular in class~
She still couldn’t understand how she “picked up the leftover treasure.” Normally, a man of this quality should have been stolen by girls long ago. How did she end up with him?
After talking with his classmates, Su Peng looked down at An Han and asked, “These two days I didn’t come to class… teachers didn’t get angry, right?”
“Nope. Several classes didn’t call roll at all. Only today’s professor cares about attendance…”
The upcoming class was taught by an old professor. He usually didn’t take attendance either, but if he did call names and someone wasn’t there, he would instantly fail them.
Because his methods were so ruthless, almost the entire class showed up today.
“Su Peng, what kind of internship did you get? Does your company need more people?” Chen Junjie turned around and asked during the last few minutes before class. “If they need people, take me with you. It’s comfortable working with someone you know.”
Today, An Han’s three dormmates were sitting in the row in front of them, so it was easy to chat.
“I think they only took two interns. It’s full now.”
“What a pity.”
When the respected old professor walked into the classroom, the room that had been noisy suddenly became much quieter. It was almost like an elementary school homeroom teacher doing an inspection.
The professor didn’t take attendance. He placed his textbook on the desk, turned on his computer, prepared for two minutes, and then began teaching.
Slowly, the class started getting a little noisy again.
“If I knew he wouldn’t take attendance, I wouldn’t have come,” Chen Junjie muttered in front. “Brother Long, want to skip the second period together?”
Long Xing usually didn’t skip class, but with Chen Junjie leading the way, he became braver. “Okay.”
“Wang Sheng?”
“I’m going next door to see my girlfriend.”
An Han held her face with both hands, watching her three dormmates in front, and whispered to Su Peng, “When I still lived in the dorm, they rarely skipped class. Looks like after I moved out, the dorm atmosphere got worse.”
“That’s because before, even if they skipped class, they could only play games. Now they can ask girls out,” Su Peng said the truth in one sentence.
“Tsk, this is what men are like… When they don’t have a girlfriend, they say games are more fun than girls…” An Han lifted her chin proudly. “But I have always been loyal to one!”
Su Peng laughed at her joke, but then the professor glanced their way, so he quickly nudged her.
She immediately shut her mouth and quietly took notes.
With Su Peng beside her, the class felt like it passed in just a blink.
During the break, Long Xing and the others ran away immediately. An Han looked around and noticed that in a class of more than forty students, there would probably be only about twenty left for the second period.
When most people had left, the old professor slowly took out the attendance sheet.
“Roll call.”
