Chapter 20: Pretty Good-Looking
Wang Xiaoxiang didn't explain why she had come. Instead, she led Tian Siyi to an even more secluded corner.
Only then did she slowly speak.
"I want you to stay away from Bai Hang!"
Tian Siyi was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter.
Her reaction only made Wang Xiaoxiang even angrier.
"What's so funny?"
"Nothing. I just think your request is a little unreasonable."
"So you're refusing?" Wang Xiaoxiang's voice became even colder.
Tian Siyi didn't care.
It was obvious the other girl had come looking for trouble, so there was no reason to be polite.
Still, she felt it was better to clear up the misunderstanding.
"Bai Hang and I aren't even friends. Stay away from him? What exactly am I supposed to stay away from?"
Wang Xiaoxiang continued questioning her.
"Then why did he come talk to you earlier?"
If I tell her the truth, she'll probably get even angrier.
It was obvious Wang Xiaoxiang liked Bai Hang, while Bai Hang clearly wasn't interested in her. Otherwise, he wouldn't have tried to pursue Tian Siyi.
But Tian Siyi had no desire to be nice to someone with such a bad attitude.
"He told me he liked me, but I turned him down."
"You actually dared to reject him?"
Tian Siyi raised an eyebrow.
"So... should I have agreed to date him instead?"
"You wouldn't dare!"
Tian Siyi laughed again.
"Then what exactly do you want me to do? Accept him or reject him?"
"You..."
Wang Xiaoxiang froze for a moment before shouting again,
"Don't think I don't know what you're doing. You're just pretending to reject him to make him chase you harder. That's the trick women like you always use."
Tian Siyi rolled her eyes. It looked like nothing she said would ever satisfy this girl.
"So there's no point talking anymore?"
"What is there to talk about with a shameless woman like you?"
"What did you just say?"
Tian Siyi looked at her coldly.
For a moment, Wang Xiaoxiang felt as if a wild beast were staring at her. Cold sweat appeared on her back.
Then she came back to her senses.
There are six of us, and she's all by herself. What am I afraid of?
Her confidence returned immediately.
"I said you're a shameless—"
Smack!
A loud slap cut her off, sending her face to one side.
Everyone froze.
They clearly had the numbers, so why was the girl in front of them the first to make a move?
"You..."
Tears welled up in Wang Xiaoxiang's eyes as she pointed at the crazy woman standing before her.
Even her own parents had never slapped her before!
"I'm not wrong, am I? You were in the staff dormitory for so long just now. Who knows what shameful things you were doing? You're such a shameless—"

Another loud slap landed, leaving both sides of Wang Xiaoxiang's face perfectly even.
Thanks to her wealthy family and the group of followers around her, Wang Xiaoxiang had always gotten her way.
Everyone she met usually treated her carefully. She had never experienced anything like this before.
"You..."
She took several steps back, afraid Tian Siyi would slap her again.
Pointing at Tian Siyi once more, she shouted at the girls who were still standing there in shock,
"What are you all standing around for? Strip her and throw her onto the training field!"

On the way back to the dorm, Tian Siyi was suddenly grabbed from behind again. She reacted at once, turned around, and pinned the person down.
"Let go, let go! It's me..."
Chen Chen looked completely helpless. Does someone this strong really need me to protect her?
Tian Siyi let out a sigh of relief, and the tension in her body finally faded.
"Why were you sneaking around and following me?"
"I was worried about you. I came out to get dinner, and I saw a group of girls take you away."
Tian Siyi raised an eyebrow and gritted her teeth.
"So you just hid there and watched? You saw me getting bullied and didn't come help?"
Chen Chen scratched his head.
Getting bullied? I clearly remember seeing her surround all six of them by herself.
"If you had really been getting bullied, I definitely would've stepped in. But from what I saw, you were the one bullying them."
"When did I bully anyone?"
Tian Siyi puffed out her cheeks.

Thinking about the girls lying on the ground after being beaten, Chen Chen had no idea what to say.
"I'll take you to the clinic."
As he spoke, he put her arm over his shoulder and helped support her.
He had noticed earlier that although she had knocked everyone down, she had been limping when she walked away.
Tian Siyi didn't refuse his help.
After all, military training continued tomorrow, and pretending everything was fine wasn't a smart idea.
"I didn't see any of them hit you. What happened to your foot?"
"Um..."
Tian Siyi awkwardly touched her cheek and mumbled so quietly he could barely hear her.
"I accidentally twisted it..."
Seeing Chen Chen fall silent, she quickly added,
"I couldn't help it. My legs are shorter now, so I'm still getting used to them."
Tian Siyi still had long legs by most people's standards.
But compared to before, she was much shorter overall, so naturally her legs were shorter too.
Most of the time she didn't notice the change in her body.
But when precise movements were needed, the difference became obvious.
The clinic was empty.
It was dinner time, so everyone had probably gone to eat.
Chen Chen helped Tian Siyi sit on the edge of a bed.
He took off her shoe and sock, revealing a fair, delicate foot.
He gently pressed it.
"Hiss—"
The sharp breath she sucked in told him everything.
It was clearly painful.
Her fair skin had turned slightly pink, and the area around her ankle was a little swollen.
"Does it hurt a lot?"
"Isn't that an obvious question?"
"I'll go get some medicine."
"Okay."
A sprained ankle wasn't a serious injury.
If military training wasn't starting again tomorrow, Tian Siyi would have just waited for it to heal on its own.
But standing at attention for hours with an injured foot would only make things harder.
Besides, Chen Chen was already running around helping her. She didn't want to refuse his kindness.
Soon, Chen Chen came back with a spray medicine and sprayed it onto her ankle.
Then he held her foot in his hands and looked at it carefully.
Tian Siyi teased him. "It's a pretty girl's foot. Does it look nice?"
"It does."
It really did.
Tian Siyi's foot was fair and delicate, like a carefully carved piece of jade. It also felt as smooth as silk in his hands.
Honesty was always the strongest answer.
Chen Chen's straightforward reply unexpectedly made Tian Siyi feel a little embarrassed.
She coughed lightly, pretending to stay calm.
"I didn't expect you to be like this. Even you can't look away from a pretty girl."
"When did I say I couldn't look away? I was just telling the truth. It really does look nice."
Chen Chen looked at it for another moment.
Then he suddenly frowned in surprise.
"Did you wash your feet just now?"
Tian Siyi shook her head.
"No. Even if I'm a pretty girl now, it would still be rude to wash my feet in your basin. Do you really think I'm that unreasonable?"
"Then how come you've been wearing shoes all day and your feet don't smell at all?"
As he spoke, he leaned in and sniffed.
Besides the smell of the medicine he had just sprayed, there was even a faint, pleasant scent.
Tian Siyi's eyes widened.
She narrowed her eyes and looked at him with complete disgust before kicking him onto the floor with one foot.
