Chapter 24: Speaking Badly About Someone to Their Face
Bai Hang finally found out where Tian Siyi was. He immediately shared the good news with Gao Lingfeng and Tian Siyi's roommates.
"So that's why! She hurt her foot and has been staying in the medical room!"
Zhao Xiaoqi's eyes widened. Feeling a little guilty, she asked, "How did you find out?"
Of course Zhao Xiaoqi already knew what had happened to Tian Siyi.
But since Tian Siyi had already said she wasn't interested in Bai Hang, Zhao Xiaoqi saw no reason to tell him where she was and cause her unnecessary trouble.
Still, it seemed Bai Hang had figured it out on his own.
Instead of answering, Bai Hang opened a video.
A beautiful singing voice came from the phone's speaker, immediately catching everyone's attention.
Jiang Luyao put down her chopsticks.
"That's not the original singer, is it?"
Zhao Xiaoqi nodded.
"I think it actually sounds better than the original. And she's singing without any background music. Who is this?"
"It's Tian Siyi!" Bai Hang answered proudly, as if he actually had some special connection with her.
"Wow, Siyi sings that well?" Zhao Xiaoqi said in surprise.
Although they were roommates, they had only known each other for a few days, so they didn't know much more about Tian Siyi than Bai Hang did.
Then Zhao Xiaoqi remembered something.
"Right! She told us she'd already signed with Huichen Entertainment. With a voice like that, no wonder they signed her so early."
Bai Hang was also surprised.
"Huichen? That's one of the biggest entertainment companies! She's amazing! Just as expected from the woman I like."
Zhao Xiaoqi rolled her eyes.
"Oh, stop flattering yourself. What does she have to do with you?"
"She doesn't right now, but that doesn't mean she never will. Your Brother Bai has plenty of charm. If I spend more time with her, how do you know I won't have a chance?"
No one there agreed with him.
Tian Siyi's roommates could all tell that she wasn't interested in dating.
At least for now, she had no plans for a relationship.
So Bai Hang's efforts would most likely be wasted.
But Bai Hang believed in himself.
After all, he had good looks, money, and height. Combined with his sincere feelings, he believed that sooner or later he would win Tian Siyi's heart.
"After lunch, I'm going to visit her. Do you all want to come?"
"I do!" Zhao Xiaoqi immediately replied. "Siyi and I are best friends!"
Jiang Luyao looked up calmly. "I'll go too."
"Then I'll come as well." Since his fiancée was going, Gao Lingfeng naturally wanted to go with her.
"Why is everyone going?" Bai Hang frowned. "There'll be so many people. What if we scare her?"
He hadn't expected even Gao Lingfeng to join them.
Thinking back to the first time they met, Tian Siyi had kept looking at Gao Lingfeng. That made him a little nervous.
Zhao Xiaoqi mercilessly exposed the truth. "The only one who's going to scare her is you!"
"Am I really that scary?"
Seeing him lower his head to check his clothes and appearance, Zhao Xiaoqi explained,

"She won't be. Because she's an angel."

When the group arrived at the medical room, Tian Siyi was still eating lunch, while Chen Chen sat beside her.
When he noticed several people coming in, he became alert. But after recognizing Tian Siyi's roommates, he immediately relaxed.
The newcomers also noticed Chen Chen and were curious about who he was, especially Bai Hang.
He saw Chen Chen and Tian Siyi chatting happily, and they seemed to be very close.
Jiang Luyao didn't pay much attention to that. She looked at Tian Siyi's foot and asked,
"Is your foot feeling better?"
Her voice was still as calm as ever, but Tian Siyi could hear the concern behind it.
Tian Siyi nodded with a smile.
"As long as I don't move around too much, it doesn't hurt at all."
Hearing that, Zhao Xiaoqi finally relaxed.
There really wasn't much to worry about anyway. It was only a normal sprained ankle, and Tian Siyi had been staying in the medical room under the care of professionals, so there was little chance of it getting worse.
Zhao Xiaoqi's attention soon turned to Chen Chen.
Chen Chen had already met Tian Siyi's roommates before, but they didn't know what his relationship with Tian Siyi was.
"Siyi, who is he? Aren't you going to introduce him to us?"
Tian Siyi didn't think much of it and gave a simple introduction.
"He's my friend, Chen Chen. He's a third-year student."
Chen Chen looked at everyone and smiled.
"Hello. Siyi has talked about all of you before."
"Oh?" Zhao Xiaoqi asked with interest. "What did she say about me?"
"She said you're a cheerful girl who talks a lot... but you're also a bit of a gossip."
"Hey! What are you saying?" Tian Siyi's eyes widened.
Who tells people what someone said about them behind their back?
She immediately reached out to hit Chen Chen, but he simply stepped aside, easily moving out of her reach. Even when she tried to kick him, she couldn't touch him, making her grind her teeth in frustration.
Zhao Xiaoqi sat down beside Tian Siyi, squeezing onto the same chair. She held Tian Siyi's hand to stop her and smiled.
"Don't get so worked up. You weren't wrong. I really am pretty nosy."
Even though Zhao Xiaoqi acted like it didn't bother her, Tian Siyi still had a bad feeling about where this was going.
Zhao Xiaoqi continued asking, "What about Luyao and Yunyan? What did she say about them?"
"They're both nice girls. They're just a little quiet."
The comment was so ordinary that Zhao Xiaoqi couldn't even think of a way to tease Tian Siyi.
Besides, Tian Siyi really didn't seem like the type of person to speak badly about others behind their backs.
At that moment, Jiang Luyao walked over and quietly stared at Tian Siyi.
Her cold gaze made Tian Siyi feel a little nervous.
Zhao Xiaoqi was about to say something to help, since Tian Siyi hadn't actually said anything bad.

Jiang Luyao nodded quietly and said nothing more.
Tian Siyi couldn't tell what Jiang Luyao was thinking, but one thing was certain.
She was a genuinely kind person.
After watching for quite a while, Bai Hang finally couldn't hold back any longer.
"What about me? What did she say about me?"
He still didn't know what kind of relationship Tian Siyi and Chen Chen had.
Judging from how they acted, they seemed very close. Otherwise, Tian Siyi wouldn't tell Chen Chen everything.
To be honest, Bai Hang was jealous of that relationship.
But right now, he and Tian Siyi weren't even friends.
He had no right to judge her friends.
All he wanted to know was how she saw him.
Chen Chen glanced at Tian Siyi. Seeing that her expression remained calm, he answered,
"She already told you before. She's not interested in you, and she doesn't want a relationship. So you should just give up."
Bai Hang shook his head.
"I already know that. What I want to know is... what does she really think of me?"
