Chapter 371: Little Sister’s Secret

In the south, the temperature in May had already reached around thirty degrees.

Su Peng had long switched to casual short sleeves and shorts, but An Han was still wearing long pants and a thin jacket.

She didn’t really want too many people on the street to notice her full chest.

Her mother held her arm. As An Han answered her mother’s questions, she also quietly observed her mother’s attitude toward Su Peng.

Back during winter break, her mother’s opinion of Su Peng was still okay. At first she disagreed, but later she slowly accepted him. It didn’t seem like anything had changed, just a bit colder…

Feeling slightly relieved, An Han followed her mother into the house.

“Rest for a bit. Lunch will be ready in about half an hour.”

Her mother put down the shoulder bag and smiled at An Han, who was walking toward the living room. But her smile suddenly froze.

When An Han got out of the car earlier, her steps looked normal, and her mother hadn’t paid much attention while walking beside her.

But now, looking at An Han’s back, she noticed that her daughter’s steps were a little strange. A bit limping, as if she was trying very hard to hide it.

Her mother froze for a moment, then remembered the video call yesterday, when An Han said she had fallen.

“Your injury isn’t better yet?”

“How can it heal that fast~” An Han tiredly sat down on the sofa, took off her jacket, then peeked at her mother. “It hurt a lot when I fell.”

“Be more careful next time… Siqi! Don’t take chocolate from the fridge again! I told you, only one piece per day!”

Her mother’s attention was pulled away by her little sister, who was secretly grabbing chocolate. She scolded her very sharply.

“Nooo! Sister came home, so I want to eat one more to celebrate!”

“Put it back!”

The front hall turned noisy. Su Peng awkwardly walked around the mother and hurried into the living room, sitting next to An Han while keeping a little distance.

Frowning, he whispered worriedly, “I feel like Auntie isn’t as warm to me as before.”

“She hasn’t said a single word to me so far.”

Leaning lazily on the sofa armrest, one foot resting on the sofa, An Han asked casually, “Is it because you didn’t bring a gift?”

“I don’t have money…”

Su Peng scratched his head with a bitter smile. The gifts he brought the first time he met her parents were a bit expensive. Now coming again, anything cheap, like something worth tens of yuan, felt embarrassing.

“Then Dad must have complained about you, so Mom isn’t happy when she sees you.”

“You need to think of a way to fix it…”

“You think about it. I’m going upstairs to shower.”

Feeling uncomfortable, An Han slipped her hand under her collar and scratched her shoulder. “I’m all sweaty.”

“It’s hot, don’t wear a jacket.”

“Mm… I’ll think about it. It’s not that hot…”

With her size now around a C cup, she looked fine with a jacket, but if she only wore a T-shirt, she would attract the eyes of most people on the street.

Although she didn’t completely dislike people’s admiring looks and sometimes even felt secretly happy. Some people’s eyes were so blatant that they made her feel uncomfortable and sick.

She didn’t bring any luggage home this time. There were still many clothes in her old wardrobe. If nothing else worked, she could even go back to wearing boys’ clothes. It didn’t matter much, she had a small build, but her height was still the same.

“Mom! I’m going to take a shower first.”

As she prepared to go upstairs, An Han called to her mother, who was busy at the stove.

Her little sister was also helping in the kitchen, though she still looked upset after being scolded earlier, her lips pouting in clear unwillingness.

“Go ahead. I put your clothes in the bottom of your wardrobe.”

“Okay.”

“Wait! Wait!” Her little sister suddenly jumped up. “I’ll help you get your clothes!”

“Huh?”

Very suspicious!

Her little sister was acting as if she had hidden something shameful in the wardrobe.

An Han’s eyes lit up. Ignoring her leg injury, she rushed upstairs, taking two steps at a time.

“Sister! Sister!”

Her sister shouted loudly behind her, almost panicking. Even their mother started to feel something was wrong. While cooking, she turned her head with a confused expression to look at the two girls running upstairs.

Because she started running first, An Han reached the third-floor bedroom before her sister.

When she wasn’t at home, this bedroom was usually used by her little sister.

The room had already been decorated by their father with girly wallpaper. Cute dolls sat on the computer desk. The curtains and bedsheets had been changed to a pink Pleasant Goat pattern. It was obvious these were all their father’s work.

“Sister!”

When her sister ran into the room, she found An Han sitting at the edge of the bed, stunned, wondering about her life as she stared at this childish, overly cute room.

When she left home before, their father had only changed the wallpaper.

Now it was… an attack on her eyes.

“You didn’t open my wardrobe, right…”

“My wardrobe.” An Han rolled her eyes and lightly rubbed her injured leg. “What shameful thing are you hiding? Take it out and let me see.”

“No way!”

“Mom must already be suspicious. If she finds it later, it’ll be worse. If you show me now, we can think of a story together. I won’t tell Mom.”

Seeing An Han’s concerned face, clearly trying to help, her little sister mumbled, “It’s nothing…”

“Hm?”

“It’s… the test papers from a few days ago…”

Her sister looked so anxious she was almost crying, which made An Han want to laugh.

She crossed her legs and asked casually, “What score?”

Her sister refused to answer and even stood in front of the drawer to block it.

“Don’t worry, I won’t tell Mom.”

“Fine…”

Her sister slowly squatted down, very unwilling, and took out two test papers from the drawer. She handed one to An Han.

A quick glance at the 60 points in the corner made An Han nod thoughtfully.

“Just barely passing is a bit low. When I was in middle school, I usually got eighty or ninety.”

“Full score is one hundred and fifty…”

“……”

She put the paper aside and looked up. “What about the other one?”

Her sister moved even slower this time, hesitating, then finally handed her the second paper.

“123 points? Isn’t that pretty good?”

“But this test is only out of 100!” Her sister burst into tears. “If Mom finds out, she’ll kill me!”

“……”

Looking closely, An Han finally noticed the problem: the “1” in “123” had clearly been added later. So the real score was only a bit over twenty.

Doing badly was one thing, but stupidly trying to change the score, and doing it so obviously, was another.

Seeing her sister crying so hard, An Han almost laughed.

“Alright. Either go tell Mom yourself, or get a good score next time. We’re from the same family, how can our grades be so different?”

Muttering, she stood up and went to the wardrobe to get her clothes. “I’m going to shower.”

“Sister, help me hide it… help me sign my name…”

“How long do you think you can hide it?”

An Han laughed, enjoying her sister’s misery. “If Mom gets called to school by your teacher, you’ll suffer even more.”

Her sister’s face turned completely pale.
