Chapter 375: Morning Chaos

At six in the morning, the sky was only just starting to get light.

There were already some people walking on the street, and birds had landed outside the window, chirping noisily.

Su Peng was woken up by the noise. He hadn’t slept well last night, and his mind still felt foggy.

When he opened his eyes, what filled his view was a calm, gentle, and almost flawless pale face.

Even though there was a pillow, An Han still liked to sleep with her head on his arm or shoulder. Because of this, every time he woke up, one of his arms would be completely numb.

Su Peng turned slightly, his nose almost touching An Han’s face. He smelled the skincare scent on her skin and looked closely at her long eyelashes, which were trembling slightly.

“Awake?”

“Mmm…”

“Then hurry up and get up. Go sleep on the bed. Don’t let Auntie misunderstand.”

“I know.”

An Han yawned, but her eyelids were so heavy that she could barely open them. She straightened her legs, raised both arms high, and stretched her body as much as she could, slowly forming a graceful arch.

As she moved, the blanket slid down. Her nightdress was pulled up to her stomach without her noticing, showing her flat belly, her smooth, well-shaped legs, and her light pink underwear.

“What are you staring at?!”

“How do you know I’m looking when your eyes aren’t even open?” Su Peng said confidently. “I wasn’t looking!”

“It feels like you were.”

An Han muttered as she pulled her dress back down. The long nightdress was comfortable to wear, but she moved a lot in her sleep, which gave Su Peng an unexpected view.

“An Han, wake your sister up for breakfast!”

The bedroom door was knocked on at that moment. An Han froze for a second and quickly climbed onto the bed.

Sure enough, the door opened right after.

Her mother quickly scanned the room. An Han was sitting at the edge of the bed, knees curled up, playing on her phone. Her sister was still sleeping under the blanket. Su Peng was still lying down, but the single floor mattress clearly had half of its space empty, and he was only covered by half a blanket.

“Wake your sister up. She has tutoring this morning.”

“Okay… you signed her up for tutoring too?”

An Han pretended to be calm and casually talked to her mother. She lowered her head and gently shook her sister under the blanket.

“What subject is she studying?”

“Math. It’s not a class. A relative’s child is on vacation and is helping teach her.”

“That’s rough~”

An Han smiled and turned to her sister. “Time to get up!”

She lightly pushed her sister’s shoulder a few times. The sister had already woken up from the talking but didn’t want to get up. She turned over and kept her eyes tightly shut, pretending she heard nothing.

But An Han clearly saw her sister’s small fists clench nervously.

She almost laughed out loud. Ever since they were kids, pretending to sleep to skip class was something her little sister had done many times, and every single time, their mother saw through it.

Too obvious~

An Han secretly glanced at her mother. Sure enough, her mother’s face was dark. She had clearly seen through the poor acting too.

Holding back a smile, An Han shook her sister again. “Get up! Or Mom is going to get angry.”

Seeing that pretending didn’t work, her sister turned over, curled up, and held her stomach. She groaned, “Oww~ my stomach hurts… I don’t feel well~”

Anyone could tell she just didn’t want to go to tutoring and was pretending to be sick.

An Han noticed her mother’s expression getting worse. Worried that her sister would get scolded early in the morning, and that it would ruin everyone’s mood, she pulled off the blanket and said firmly.

“Hurry up! If your stomach hurts, go to the bathroom! Don’t delay your tutoring!”

“But I already said I don’t feel well…”

Her sister finally opened her eyes, clearly unwilling. She pouted and sat up with an unhappy face.

“Even during vacation, I still have to study…”

After she walked out of the room, muttering complaints to herself, An Han sat cross-legged on the bed, comfortably playing on her phone, and casually asked,

“Mom, what are we having for breakfast?”

“I bought soy milk.”

“Then I’ll come down later to eat.”

“……”

An Han suddenly felt that something was wrong. She looked up in confusion and saw her mother standing by the door with a stiff face, arms crossed.

Wasn’t her sister already up?

Only then did An Han realize that her mother’s bad mood was not aimed at her sister, but at her.

“Come here.”

“Oh…”

Just moments ago, An Han had been secretly happy about her sister’s trouble. Now she looked like a scared quail, lowering her head as she slowly got off the bed and shuffled toward her mother.

“You, honestly…”

Her mother looked at her face and tapped her on the head in disappointment.

“That hurts.”

Her mother shot her a glare, and An Han immediately shut her mouth, her eyes nervously drifting to the side.

It seemed her mother had already figured out that she slept with Su Peng last night. After all, everything happened in a rush, and the signs on the bed hadn’t been hidden.

“Tonight, you and your sister will sleep with me.”

Her mother looked carefully at An Han’s hips, legs, and posture, but didn’t find any obvious signs.

So they really just slept together? Or was it covered up too well for her to notice? Or was there something wrong with Su Peng?

Most likely, they did everything except that…

“I’m already over twenty. I still have to sleep with you?” An Han muttered, but after another glare from her mother, she lowered her head again.

“Go downstairs. Eat.”

An Han helplessly followed her mother out of the room. She wanted to wash up first, but the bathroom on the third floor was already taken by her sister.

As she followed her mother down the stairs, she suddenly heard her mother speak in a serious, caring tone.

“A girl must value herself and know how to protect herself.”

“Mm, I know.”

“You know nothing! If you knew, would you sleep with that boy?”

An Han’s face turned red as she avoided her mother’s eyes.

“You’ve already given yourself to Su Peng. What if he doesn’t want you later?”

“That’s impossible…”

“Why is it impossible? How long have you even been together?”

If you counted the time they had known each other, it had been almost three years. But An Han wasn’t foolish enough to trust someone blindly just because of time.

The real reason was simple. According to the system, Su Peng’s affection for her had already reached 110.

That guy was already thinking about marriage all the time. If his age were enough, he would probably have asked her mother for permission during this visit.

If her mother refused, he might even try to convince An Han to secretly take the household registration book to get married.

Actually… he wouldn’t even need to convince her. She might steal it herself.

“You’re still studying. What if you get pregnant? How can you focus on school then? Taking care of your sister already gives me enough headaches…”

Her mother’s scolding went in one ear and out the other. An Han’s mind drifted to the awkward look on Su Peng’s face when he suddenly talked about marriage that day, and she couldn’t help smiling a little.

“You’re still smiling!”

Her mother tapped her head again. An Han cried out in pain, held her head, and squatted down without thinking.

“Mom! You never used to hit me!”

Maybe surprised by An Han’s strong reaction, her mother froze for a moment, then snorted.

“If I don’t hit you, you won’t learn!”

“You’ll hit me stupid!”

“Hurry up and eat. We’re going to your grandpa’s house later!”

“Oh…”
