Chapter 380: A Heart-to-Heart Talk

An Han felt a little dizzy, but it wasn’t because of that one bottle of beer. Her tolerance might not be as strong as before, when she could drink box after box like water, but one bottle of beer was still not a problem for her.

It was just that… she had really gotten engaged to Su Peng?

After the lunch banquet, she was taken in a daze to the hotel rooms upstairs. Only when she sat down hard on the clean white bedsheets did she suddenly wake up and look toward the door.

The door was still open. Her mother stood there with her arms crossed, watching her.

Her mother had always thought An Han was an honest, well-behaved child. Someone who didn’t smoke, drink, or do anything wild. With An Han’s soft and fragile appearance, being bad at drinking and getting drunk from one bottle of beer seemed excessive, but still understandable.

“If you can’t drink, then don’t drink,” her mother said with a frown, glaring at An Han. “Sleep properly. Don’t act crazy when you’re drunk.”

“Okay…”

An Han shrank her neck timidly. Only then did she look around the room and realize it was a suite with a bedroom and a living room.

She had never stayed in such a high-end hotel before…

“I’m going to pick up your sister and go home. Lock the door when you sleep.”

“Mm, I know.”

“You don’t know a thing,” her mother rolled her eyes.

With how easily her daughter threw herself at things, her mother was afraid that the moment she turned around, An Han would already be getting close with Su Peng.

Before, they were only boyfriend and girlfriend, yet they already slept together. Who knew what they had done? Now that they were engaged, it was even more reasonable in name, who knew what kind of things they might do.

What if she really got pregnant before graduating…

Her mother sighed softly. She had lived a busy life, giving birth to An Han twenty years ago, then having her little sister An Siqi ten years later. These two children had taken more than twenty years of her energy. If she had to help raise grandchildren too, she would probably spend her whole life taking care of kids.

“I’m done worrying about you,” she said unhappily as she turned and left. “Come home early after you wake up.”

“I don’t even want to sleep… I’m not drunk, it was just one bottle.”

Her mother looked back at her, saw her bright red cheeks, and closed the door without another word.

She was obviously drunk. Only drunk people insisted they weren’t drunk, and that flushed face clearly showed it.

“Ah…”

An Han stared at the closed door and fell back onto the bed helplessly.

It seemed that Su Peng’s grandfather had said he would give them a house?

She suddenly remembered what he said at the table. It made her pause, unsure whether to feel happy or uneasy.

That house was most likely a mission reward, but she probably wouldn’t get it until she and Su Peng were truly married. Besides, even without this mission, if she was going to marry Su Peng, she would surely have a house anyway, right?

Knock knock knock~

“Who is it?”

“It’s me.” Su Peng pushed the door open and peeked inside. “Auntie has left.”

“Why are you here?”

“I booked this room in the first place.”

He walked over in big steps, smiling as he sat down beside An Han and looked down at her, who was still lying flat on the bed.

An Han had no intention of getting up. She yawned. After lying there for a while, she really started to feel sleepy.

She raised both arms high, fingers interlocked, stretching her waist and back. In doing so, her figure was completely exposed to Su Peng’s view. This unguarded pose instantly made Su Peng’s “energy bar” jump up several levels.

“I’m going to sleep.”

She quickly hid herself under the blanket, then called out to Su Peng, “Go close the curtains. I’m taking a nap.”

“Close the door when you go out. Oh right, are you taking your grandpa out this afternoon?”

“This afternoon…”

Su Peng was pulling the curtains, but his movements were very slow. From time to time, he turned his head to look at An Han on the bed. The reluctance in his eyes was almost overflowing.

“How about I stay with you this afternoon?”

An Han almost instantly understood what he was thinking. Her face flushed red with heat. She pulled the blanket up a little, covering half her face, leaving only her eyes exposed as she looked at Su Peng.

After a moment, she turned over, lifted one corner of the blanket, and patted the empty space on the bed hard. “Come on! Sleep together!”

The next second, Su Peng slipped neatly under the blanket.

Sleeping together with Su Peng had almost become a habit, so An Han didn’t really mind. Anyway, this guy wouldn’t dare do anything to her. At most, he would shamelessly ask her to help him out a bit.

“Go to sleep,” An Han said, turning her back to Su Peng. She pulled his arm over and put it under her head as a pillow.

“……”

Su Peng stayed silent. He pressed his body close to An Han’s back, one hand resting on her waist, gently holding her.

An Han could clearly feel Su Peng’s restlessness. His body heat and tension pressed against her, making his presence very obvious.

But she had no such thoughts. With her eyes closed, she spoke softly after a while. “Su Peng… this all feels like a dream.”

“How so?”

“It doesn’t feel real. Last year, I was still a boy…”

“I know. Even if you were still a man now, I wouldn’t mind.”

“Mm…”

Su Peng looked at An Han’s fair neck. He rested his forehead against the back of her head, and the arm around her waist tightened a little, pulling their bodies closer together.

This made An Han feel slightly uncomfortable. She moved her hips uneasily, feeling that he might be thinking about doing something.

Could it be that they had just gotten engaged and he already wanted to go further?

In broad daylight… that didn’t seem right. And she had heard it would hurt a lot…

“You just lack a sense of security,” Su Peng said.

“Huh?” An Han froze in surprise, then shook her head. “How could that be?”

“When you lack a sense of security, things feel unreal. You worry that everything you have now might disappear.”

“……”

“Don’t worry. I’m here.”

Su Peng chuckled softly and pulled An Han fully into his arms.

At this moment, he suddenly had no worldly desires at all. He held An Han tightly, closed his eyes, and tried his best to let her feel his sincerity.

Holding this warm, soft body, his thoughts were unusually pure. All that remained was care and tenderness for An Han. His voice was low and hoarse. “I watched you change into a girl. I can feel the pressure you’ve been under. You just don’t express it much…”

“But I’ve always been by your side, supporting everything you do. I’ve never left, neither now nor in the future.”

An Han lay there silently with her eyes open, staring at the light blue wall of the hotel room.

She felt the warmth through their clothes, the strong arms holding her, the steady, calm voice…

It felt like she was receiving a sense of safety from Su Peng. Her messy emotions slowly settled, and a feeling of comfort and happiness rose from deep inside her heart.

“Mm!”

She slipped out of Su Peng’s arms, turned over, and faced him.

Without hesitation, she wrapped her arms around his neck and initiatively pressed her soft lips to his.

It was just a light kiss. She then let go of his neck and smiled sweetly and gently. Feeling shy, she buried her red face in his chest and sighed softly, “This is really nice~”

“Yeah.”
