Chapter 381: Celebration

Holding An Han in his arms, Su Peng rarely had any improper thoughts. He simply breathed in the scent from her hair and enjoyed the quiet moment with no one around.

But the calm in his mind had nothing to do with his body…

“You’re poking me.”

An Han lay on her side with her back to Su Peng, twisting her hips a little. She sighed, feeling both shy and helpless. “You say all the right things, but still…”

“I can’t really control this.”

And that part was true.

She had been a man before, so she understood. Still, she felt that Su Peng had bad intentions right now and muttered unhappily, “It’s daytime. Let’s forget it.”

Usually, when she helped him out, it was late at night, lights off, almost pitch dark. But now it was still noon. Even with the curtains closed and the lights off, dim sunlight still came through the curtains, and everything could be seen clearly.

“You shouldn’t have said that…”

An Han clearly felt something was off too. She turned her head and shot Su Peng a glare, then rolled onto her back and pulled the blanket up to cover half her face.

Thinking about it, her father’s rule was that nothing should happen before marriage. Now that they were engaged, the chance of “crossing the line” had clearly gone up a lot.

If Su Peng brought it up right now…

She didn’t even know how she would react. Maybe she would feel shy but curious and half-agree to try. Maybe she would firmly refuse. Or maybe she would even take the lead herself.

Taking the lead might be less embarrassing, right?

As the unreal feeling faded and was replaced by the sense of safety Su Peng gave her, An Han started to feel sleepy. Her thoughts became messy and unfocused.

“Being engaged doesn’t feel like anything special,” Su Peng suddenly said. “How about we drink a little more? To celebrate our small victory.”

“You can’t drink more than me.”

An Han opened her eyes and looked at him with disdain.

Even though she was already sleepy and would probably fall asleep right away after drinking, Su Peng was definitely not her match when it came to alcohol.

After all, he had already drunk quite a bit with the two elders earlier, and his face still had a slightly drunk red color.

“That’s not necessarily true.”

Su Peng suddenly flipped out of the blanket, looking offended. “I’ll go buy some alcohol right now!”

“Hey, wait—”

An Han didn’t even have time to refuse before Su Peng rushed out of the bedroom.

This guy clearly wanted to get her drunk!

She immediately saw through his plan and simply closed her eyes, planning to fall asleep before Su Peng came back.

Who knew what he would do to her after getting her drunk?

Even though there was no way Su Peng could outdrink her.

Still, her heartbeat grew faster and louder. An Han realized that, deep down, she was actually looking forward to something happening.

“Oh no… am I really going to give in today?”

Her right eyelid twitched. “This is bad!”

Left eye twitch means good luck, right eye twitch means trouble. Today, it seemed she really couldn’t escape it.

Damn superstitions!

[Option 1: Follow your heart and give in while drunk.

Reward: Painless childbirth]

[Option 2: Follow physical instinct and ask Su Peng for help.

Reward: Su Peng’s physique and stamina +1]

[Option 3: Firmly refuse.

Reward: Random attribute point]

When the system choices appeared, An Han couldn’t help but sigh. “Ah… figures. You never miss a chance to kick me when I’m down.”

“I bought a few bottles of liquor, An Han.”

She had only glanced at the task description and hadn’t read it carefully yet, but the door was pushed open again. Su Peng walked into the bedroom carrying two bottles of Niulanshan liquor.

He put the bottles on the bedside table and turned to look at An Han, who was lying flat on the bed with her eyes tightly closed, looking like she was already asleep.

“Not drinking?”

He looked at An Han’s fair skin, pale with a hint of pink, so smooth it almost seemed to glow. He only stared for a moment, but An Han’s face quickly flushed red. The color spread from her cheeks to her ears, down her white neck, and soon across her whole body.

An Han realized something. She quickly covered her chest with both hands in a defensive move. Her lips parted slightly as she breathed a little faster. Then she secretly turned her head to the side, pretending she had been disturbed in her sleep, trying to avoid Su Peng’s gaze.

Her shy and cute reaction almost melted Su Peng’s heart.

“Stop pretending to sleep. Are you drinking or not? If not, forget it.”

Su Peng smiled and gently pinched An Han’s cheek. She couldn’t keep pretending anymore and cried out from the sudden pain.

“It’s just to celebrate our engagement. Just to be happy.”

“Do you think I don’t know what you’re thinking?”

An Han glared at him angrily. She grabbed the blanket, rolled over on the bed, and wrapped herself tightly inside it like a sushi roll.

Su Peng laughed. “Aren’t you just wrapping yourself up and offering yourself to me?”

“……”

Only then did An Han realize she couldn’t move at all. She rolled her eyes at him. “I’m ignoring you!”

She hadn’t even had time to read the system task properly yet!

“I’ll decide later whether to drink or not. I don’t even like strong liquor,” she muttered

“Alright.”

As if doing a magic trick, Su Peng suddenly pulled out a bouquet of flowers from under the bed.

“Here, an engagement gift.”

“So tacky… put it over there. I can’t get my hands out…”

The blanket was wrapped too tightly. An Han wriggled hard before finally freeing her hands.

Now she could seriously look at the tasks.

The first option…

An Han’s eyes lit up. She was terrified of going to the obstetrics department, and this reward was something she truly dreamed of. But the condition, just giving in like that, felt way too much.

The second option was also very embarrassing. She did have physical needs, but she usually handled them quietly by herself. She really didn’t have the courage to ask Su Peng for help. And the reward looked like it was turning Su Peng into a hardworking farm ox…

And she would be the field…

As for the random attribute point, she really didn’t want it. What if it increased her sensitivity again, making pain worse? That would be terrible. Or a body attribute, they’re already big, she didn’t want it to get any bigger.

Her body was already feeling hot. After reading the task descriptions and rewards, plus her imagination running wild with bad thoughts…

Option three?

She frowned. Option three was clearly the simplest and easiest. But she didn’t want some strange random attribute. And besides… she realized she was actually a little tempted by the conditions of options one and two.

“Su Peng.”

An Han took a deep breath and sat up. “How about we celebrate tonight instead?”

“Tonight? Aren’t you going home?”

But it was still daytime! Everything could be seen clearly, her expressions and even some embarrassing details!

She turned to look at the curtains, jumped off the bed barefoot, and quickly pulled them completely shut.

The room became much darker. In the dim light, it was hard to see any details clearly.

“Alright, let’s drink!”

She would drink first. The task countdown wasn’t over yet. Maybe Su Peng would get drunk first, and then she could cleanly choose option three.
