“What are you looking at?”
“What kind of certificates are more valuable…”
An Han sat at the computer desk in the bedroom, resting her chin on one hand. Her finger rolled the mouse wheel as her eyes scanned the information on the webpage.

Almost nothing useful could be seen. Most of it was training ads, which made her head hurt.
She was thinking about using the “guaranteed pass” ability to benefit herself. With more than a year left before graduation, she could try to get several high-value certificates.
If every exam was guaranteed to pass, wouldn’t taking the graduate entrance exam or civil service exam be very easy? She just didn’t know whether interviews counted as exams.
Su Peng pulled a chair over and sat next to her. Half-joking and half-expecting, he asked, “So, what task did the system give you today?”
An Han’s fingers trembled slightly. The tips of her pale ears turned red right away. She raised her head and rolled her eyes at him.
“None!”
This guy didn’t believe the system existed at all! Instead, he treated the “system” like some kind of playful game.
She could show him items rewarded by the system as proof, but there didn’t seem to be any need. Otherwise, Su Peng might try every way possible to trigger new tasks.
Anyway, whenever a task involved Su Peng, he would be especially eager and cooperative, and might even come up with bolder and more embarrassing ideas…
“The takeout will arrive soon. Remember to pick it up later.”
An Han glanced at the takeout update on her phone and sighed again.
She wondered whether the “guaranteed pass” ability would give her amazing luck so she got all multiple-choice questions right, or suddenly give her the knowledge needed to pass the exam.
If she passed certificate exams without real skills, holding high-value certificates would still make her feel guilty. She wouldn’t dare use them to find a job.
But she had heard that some certificates could earn tens of thousands a year even if you just lend your name, though that could cause legal trouble.
She closed the webpage, thought for a moment, and made a decision.
“Su Peng, I want to get a driver’s license!”
She wanted to test the “guaranteed pass” ability with a driver’s license first, to see how it really worked and whether it had any side effects.
That mind-reading skill almost caused her big trouble because she didn’t understand its side effects first!
Who would have guessed it was two-way mind reading? That was probably why Su Peng acted a bit silly after the sports meet. Even when she made many strange excuses to hide her period and physical changes, Su Peng accepted them easily.
She had even laughed at him for being dumb back then!
“A driver’s license? That costs five or six thousand, right…” Su Peng looked a bit troubled. All the money he and An Han had together was about that much, and their daily spending was already high.
He tried to persuade her. “I already have a license. You don’t need to rush.”
“But…” An Han frowned.
There weren’t any school exams coming up soon. It was already May, and it was too late to sign up for certificate exams. She would probably have to wait for the final exams two months later.
“Alright then.”
Final exams had many subjects. They might give her more clues about how the “guaranteed pass” ability worked, and help her avoid being tricked by that awful system.
For now, she just hoped the system would let her live peacefully and stop giving her tasks all the time. Even if she enjoyed them, she still needed time to rest. Otherwise, if she couldn’t get out of bed every day, how was she supposed to go to school?
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door outside the living room. Su Peng realized the takeout had arrived and quickly jogged out of the bedroom, calling to her at the same time, “Come out and get ready to eat!”
“I know!” An Han replied.
She stretched lazily, pressed both hands on the desk, and firmly placed her weak legs on the floor.
Even though she had rested for half a day, her thighs were still shaking slightly. The pain at the base of her legs was still strong. Her sensitive body had made her feel intense pleasure last night, but now it left her so sore that she didn’t want to move at all.
She slowly walked out of the room and saw Su Peng still standing at the door, looking down as if he was signing something.
“What’s wrong?”
“It’s a package,” Su Peng said as he put the box on the shoe cabinet. He turned back with a smile. “Want to try it later?”
“What is it?” An Han suddenly had a bad feeling.
The delivery man had just left, and before Su Peng could close the door, the lunch takeout arrived as well.
An Han sat on the sofa, feeling a little uneasy as she watched Su Peng walk toward her. From time to time, her eyes drifted to the package on the shoe cabinet.
Could it be something like those glowing stick toys?
Is Su Peng really playing this wild?!
“What is it, exactly?” she asked.
“Clothes… a maid outfit,” Su Peng said as he put the takeout on the table. He looked at An Han, as if already imagining her wearing it.
If she also wore the cat-ear headband he bought before, and maybe even added a cat tail…
An Han rolled her eyes at him. “I’m not wearing it!”
“It’s a pretty normal kind. Don’t think too much,” he said.
No way! The way you were looking at me just now was not normal at all!
She lowered her head and opened the takeout bag, muttering, “I didn’t know you liked role-playing…”
“I just saw it while shopping online and got curious about how you’d look in it.”
“Then why did the shopping app recommend a maid outfit to you?”
“……”
This guy clearly had bad ideas already!
Most likely, he bought it before An Han completely gave in to him. The outfit was probably not too revealing. After all, back then, they weren’t as close as they were now.
“An Han, just try it on?”
“No way!”
It wasn’t that she hated maid outfits that weren’t sexy or revealing. Back when she was still a man, she even dared to wear a short skirt and tight cheongsam to cosplay events. But what if it triggered some weird system task again?!
“Alright then,” Su Peng said. He didn’t force her and sat down next to her to eat lunch.
Even though he stopped pushing, An Han couldn’t control her curiosity. While eating, her eyes kept drifting to the package.
Don’t think about it. Don’t look at it!
The system loves to mess with her at times like this!
Just then, her phone screen lit up with a message, pulling her attention away.
She held the tip of her chopsticks between her teeth and used her free hand to unlock her phone.
“Who’s messaging you?” Su Peng leaned over to look.
An Han didn’t hide it and even explained, “Brother Long. He says there’s a dorm dinner tonight and asked if I’m going.”
“Again?”
“Because Junjie just broke up… pfft!”
She couldn’t help laughing. Then she felt it was a bit mean and quickly covered her smiling mouth, though her eyes were already curved with laughter.
This dinner is great! Chances to laugh at Chen Junjie’s bad luck don’t come often!
“I told him his girlfriend was unreliable!” An Han said seriously, sounding very righteous. “She goes to bars every day and even borrows money from him! She was clearly using Junjie! We’re going together tonight!”
Su Peng tried to remember Chen Junjie’s girlfriend, but nothing came to mind.
“Alright. We’ll go together. That way you won’t be drinking outside,” he said.
“It’s just roommates. Drinking a little is fine…” An Han pinched her fingers together to show a tiny amount. “I can drink well. I won’t get drunk that easily.”
“No,” Su Peng said firmly. His gentle look suddenly turned fierce, like a tiger.
An Han instantly backed down. She lowered her head, looking a little wronged.
“Okay~”
Fine, no drinking then. Why be so scary about it?!
