Elise’s soft whisper sounded near Peiya’s ear. More importantly, it felt like Peiya’s defenses had already fallen.

Back in the room, she saw Elise pat the bed.
“Why did you take so long?”

After calming down, the two of them lay on the bed again. The earlier tension was gone, replaced by a peaceful feeling.
